Anonymous, 02 Aug 2024Stop playing victim. China also ban US products like Goo... moreStop lying, you can buy Apple products just fine in China without any problems.
One thing would be If USA blocked Huawei from being sold in US for "security reasons", but they actually blocked It from getting not just necessary chips but also software, which was almost a fatal blow. Do that to Apple or Samsung and let's see how would they fare.

Yet you come up with this BS about Google, Facebook or WhatsApp, software companies which didn't want to comply with Chinese government, so they were not allowed to do business in China, they were fully aware of the consequences. Yet Microsoft can do and does business there.

BTW, ByteDance has to sell TikTok to an US company or they will be banned in USA.
Reason? Unknown, servers were in USA If I am not mistaken.

You are ridiculous with that sentence of yours about worldwide shipping Huawei. Only fans would order It like that, 99.99% of people would buy something locally.

I can confidently said the amount of people who did that are far less than the amount of people who bought a Fairphone.

Google and Meta refused to follow China's laws, so they were not allowed to operate there. Apple and Microsoft are doing just fine in China, in case you want to cry "China ban all foreign tech companies".

Huawei was following all the international laws before US put Huawei on the Entity List for posing security risks. That's unilateral action, something USA is very good at i.e. invasion of Afghanistan, trade war with Gaddafi, the list goes on.

Soon or later they will dominate everywhere even in slab phones.

Also that link you put is very questionable and different from other reputable researchers like Counterpoint and IDC, they even put unknown as no 2 which is strange. In Japan both Sharp and Google Pixel are above Samsung which prove my point, Even like of Kyocera trade blows with Samsung.

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2024Stop all this shit speaking about Samsung. Gsm arena are th... moreIt's not paid promotion. I never said that. GSMArena is just biased towards Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. It's a fact now. They review those companies' flagship more favourably. And I'd go so far as to say that GSMArena is one of the most acceptable reviewer/review site due to their bias not affecting their opinion of other devices too much.

If you don't see paid promotions or huge biases in youtube, you don't understand free speech or free press. People (reviewers) used to be far more critical and actually wanted the market to be better. Now reviewers ask questions like "why buy something else?", "what could they possibly improve?", etc.

Look at HDTVTest and Crinacle if you want to see truly critical and fair reviewers. Not every product should be praised for everything and called perfect. Because there's always going to be something better. Yet when there IS a damn near perfect product (Like in the case of the Sony A95L or IEMS like the Z1R/Monarch Mk II) then they get praised and given awards because there's nothing like them/they justify their price with the performance.

Okay let me ask you this. When you see a 3.5 or a 7/10, what goes in your head? Don't you think "oh that's bad" or "wow that's average"? Because reviewers have shifted the average rating number from 5/10 to 7/10. Instead of a bell curve with a peak at 5/10, it's now at 7/10 or even higher. Everything is a 7 or 8, making you think everything is good (based on the actual number)_or average (based on the fact that everything is 7, so 7 is the new average). It's like these numbers make no sense.

And finally. The GSMArena review of the S23 Ultra says that the con of the S23 Ultra is
"Nothing is, in principle, really new or different".
If you think change for the sake of change is a good then you're wrong. Anyways, if someone reads the con list, they'd just think "Wow so basically there's no cons haha nice! Perfect phone".

Gsm arena are the most reliable website/article reviews with phones, all phones has cons and they mentioned it. The s22 ultra was the best camera phone before the mi 11 ultra came and they immediately changed it to the 11 ultra quickly. Now the 14 ultra is the best camera phone and they put that too, so I don't see the bias in any of this website article. If your talking about paid promotion or review I don't see that anywhere on YouTube. People compare 2 different devices and give their give their verdicts how are they biased? Please show me where the s23 ultra had no cons I'm waiting.
