Yeah, nice specs, hope they come to UK. I'll be looking to replace my Find X5 with something with amazing cameras & zoom (6x optical sounds good if supported by great AI-enhancing digital nx), not too wide or heavy.
My problem now is that if the Ultra turns out like the X7 at 9.5mm and 220g, there are already some terrific foldables from Xiaomi, Oneplus and Honor, essentially the same size & weight when folded, excellent cameras & screens, a tablet in your pocket! And they're still early in the development cycle, so there'll soon be even more amazing foldables, from Oppo amongst others. At a price of course. So when the time comes, I'll have a dilemma, perhaps.

First devices been already tested as soon as they get certified and approved by EU and other regulatory companies it will go mass market.
Cant wait to see that.

My old oppo find x2 pro is still working as new and is being enjoyed by my mom! I am fed up with Samsung and their crappy charging speeds and small battery! As soon as the oppo find x8 ultra is out... I'm getting this bad boy! Unless Vivo x200 ultra comes out sooner and steals me away, lol 😅

Unlike the Samsung these are a good news.
The only samsung battery good to great phones were M50 and M51 with 7000 mAh.
With current battery technology it could be very easy 10 000 mAh cell on a samsugng phone which will make it eqally slim as any other device on market but a beast for use.
This never happened.

I just hope if these phones go global they put out updates at the same speed. I mean these are Chinese devices so updates for the Chinese market, which has fierce competition, would be the fastest.

Like how the 14 Ultra has more battery than the Pro, Samsung's S24 Ultra compared to the S24+, etc. The battery life on the Oppo isn't bad at all I just feel like they could've done more, the jump from the X6 Pro to the X7 Ultra wasn't massive yk? I guess they went slow with the X7 so they could take a leap with the X8

Space take... moreThe find X7 though has the exact same camera setup as the Oneplus 12 but also has a 5,000mah battery so that would be a more like for like comparison. It's just a trade off between extra weight and bulk and a larger battery

BigDisplay, 01 Aug 2024How are Oppo with updates and their OS anyone?Updates are nice and timely delivered, however there's a really annoying issue that is plaguing all ColorOS 14 (and OxygenOS) devices and hasn't been fixed yet. It's when you open certain apps (app that wasn't killed previously, just sleeping in the background). There's a slight delay/lag before the app can be used. Like 1.5sec freeze. It doesn't sound like much but it's very annoying. I read reports of it being present on the OnePlus 12 and I have personally experienced it on two different Oppo phones: Find X7 Ultra and Reno10 Pro+ (global).

I remember in the UK the x5 pro came with like 450 pounds with of freebies if you pre ordered lol. I'm really looking forward to seeing the pricing strategy
