Surprising they don't just use Exynos 1280 for this phone.

Andrey Pavliv, 01 Aug 2024Seriously? In 2024-2025 samsung still make the U screen design...No big deal if it's priced right.

Fun fact, gsmarena's benchmarks had the A15 4g running btter than A15 5g. Reports of stuttering on the 5g version exists as well.

The SoC is not much different from 6100+ in A15 5G, just slightly overclocked. https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/mediatek-dimensity-6300-vs-mediatek-dimensity-6100-plus Honestly, it’s still good enough considering the price. Hopefully that means more upgrades in other areas. The situation can be like with Moto G1 and G2, where SoC was the same but other upgrades were done. https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5831&idPhone2=6647#diff- Easy guesses would be the differences from A25, like 8MP ultrawide or stereo speakers. Personally, I think 6GB base RAM would be useful, together with the two aforementioned upgrades from A25. Maybe the cheaper SoC could make room for upgrades from even A35 like the hole punch camera, thinner bottom bezel, or even water resistance (though it seems they avoid water resistance for models with a headphone jack). Chinese competitors especially Xiaomi often go for glass back so they could follow for that, but I don’t think it’s important in this price range.

So it's like Snapdragon 765G, but in 2024.....guess that works for a low end device.
