The Phone (2a) Plus launched in the UK this Saturday and will be available in India on Wednesday.

      I am happy user of the first 2a. Upgrades are too small to upgrade. 2a is decent phone for me 👍

                the xiaomi 13t is still the one of the best all rounders for around $400 with the only weakness being 1080p video recording on the selfie camera.

                For $400 you get:

                a full ip68 rating

                A great display with dolby vision and 1220p resolution and around 1200 nits of sunlight brightness and 2600nits peak

                Dimensity 8200 which is a pretty powerful chip (especially in terms of CPU performance )

                4 years of android updates and 5 years of security patches

                67w charging

                A 2x telephoto camera which is very unheard of in this price range

                12gb lpddr5 ram and 256gb ufs 3.1 storage

                sure, you can get options with more power but those won't have an ip68 rating and a telephoto camera e.g the poco f6,oneplus nord 4

                or you can get another option like the galaxy a55 with an ip67 rating but the chipset is weaker,display is worse,charging speed is slower and the base version is just 128gb .although it has a better selfie camera but has no telephoto sensor like the xiaomi 13t

                              Why does it matter if it's BYD or not? All that matters is that we get a good product. We got a supremely mediocre one tho tbh lol

                              If you watch reviews on the internet now 90% of reviewers with 25k+ subs are glazers. No one is ethical, they just support the biggest trends in hopes of getting more viewers AND support the bigger companies so that they keep giving phones for reviews. If you don't like his reviews just don't watch them. Like seriously, I stopped watching "reviewers" a while ago, they just know how to get a good audience and spout random stuff from the companies. If that's okay then I don't understand how Carl Pei's one is not okay.

                              I'll just go ahead and say this, I think both are super unethical and "independent" reviewers doing that should be illegal or something. Carl Pei's one is understandable at least, you literally see "nothing CEO reacts" so you just KNOW that he's biased af. He also constantly tries to talk about Nothing/says he's tried to be objective, which might be true but at the end of the day it's clear as day he's biased. Someone taking buying advice from Carl Pei is just, hah idk weird??

                              Again. What he says is that the phone world is BORING. He never said he's going to make the best phones. That's why he's focused on useless gimmicks. What are you on about man? Removable back, lighting, etc. are gimmicks that he thinks are fun. He provided stuff based on his promise.

                              I never said Nothing phones are great. You guys just get hostile for no reason. I actually despise the Nothing Phone 1 and 2 because of their awful pricing and my original comment stated that I won't buy their stuff if they keep continuing like this. I was thinking of getting a new Nothing phone but if they release sh*t why will I? lol.

                              Yes, 2(a) Plus was e-waste. No one disagrees on that completely. I just want to know what you want Nothing to do? I said in my original comment that they have done so much R&D on their style and so now they just need to give better products which includes, better prices. Do you disagree on that? I think apart from the Nothing Phone 2(a), every phone is overpriced by 10-40%. If they fix that and make phones available in places where it matters (outside the US) then they'll be successful. No one in the US wants a Nothing phone. People in Asia/Africa would like it I believe.

The phone 2a isn't that bad imo, but price could be little lower, but still pretty close. What infuriate me is CMF p1 and 2aPlus, CMF p1 isn't targeting savvy user but marketed like one, lack of dual speakers really doesn't make sense, and 2a plus is really not needed with that huge price increase when 2a is already overpriced. They trying to build a apple price ladder but a failed one.

Let'... moreEvery time I think that Carl Pei just might have a sound strategy, he proves me wrong by doing something completely unexpected and stupid. Like, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus doesn't need to exist, you're just making another SKU with almost no differences at a price premium that makes no sense.

                                        The Nothing Phone 2 made no sense to buy at such a price increase over the original when it wasn't competitive and upgraded mostly the wrong specs, and so they made the Nothing Phone 2a (which I personally believe was going to be a later generation release that got greenlit early but with a different chipset after the failed sales of the Nothing Phone 2), which is an incredibly competitive phone with roughly the same specs for almost half the price. Great! So, then what do they do?

                                        The CMF Phone 1, and the Nothing Phone 2a Plus! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 😵😵😵😵🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

                                        No one asked for these two phones, stop making so many SKUs that are so close in price to each other and confusing potential buyers!!!!!!!!!!
