The edges are round but the hinge requires squared off sides.

I don't dislike the design of this new fold. I am fond of these overly rounded edges but I don't like the fact that they went for a taller and narrower outer display ratio. I preferred the look of the wider and less tall screen of the first model (which is something that I also prefer for candy-bar phones). Now this form-factor will never be something that I would buy as I have no use for a big inner screen but I do get that some do like it. A flip phone is more something that I would go for if I would be on the search for a fold-able phone.

The old Pixel Fold couldn't open fully flat? I haven't of any other foldable with that problem. That seems like a major failure in design.

Great! if it's like any of the other pixels it will make a fantastic double hand warmer with a SOT of about 2 hrs!

So, lays flat like the One Plus open & the Surface Duo, that I never got a crack at. If I had disposable income, I'd be all over it.
