the people that complain about "copycat" philosophy, are the same people that love for patents to open up after 20 years. strange right?

Apple is a... moreThe Psychological reason for "brand loyalty" is a deficit in understanding what makes your social values work. many people regard using an iphone like a status quo that tells something about a personality. like owning a yacht or something. this way they hyperextrapolite the inner desire of belonging to be recognized in a specific group of people.

    if these people would self reflect those values, they would quickly understand that the brand is not an extension of your personality. but they will remain ignorant. that's how humanity is right now :)

Honor didn't need a dynamic island, they had a pill shaped notch like the S10 that was far more pleasing to the eye. So now they have an unpleasant (subjective) design that was blatantly copied from Apple to boost sales. Their software looks 80% like Apple's, look at the notification tray/control center.

      Again, I'd have accepted it if it was
      A.) cheaper
      B.) Actually a 10/10 phone.
      It's not. This phone isn't as feature rich as a Oneplus/Oppo/Samsung phone and isn't that great of a camera (90% of it is just AI generated it feels like). Just a well marketed mediocre phone (for the price). If you just want a good enough display and fast performance then you could've gone for a Poco F6 Pro. This is just weird.

        Phones are a utility like a hammer and a wrench. Use it get to get things done. Doesn't matter what brand it is. Get what can get the job done best while spending the least amount of money. No need for being loyal to any company's marketing.

The software just looks like it was from 2017's Huawei phones and the update cycle is midrange phone level. A smooth phone is nice and all but all flagships are smooth now. The phone isn't clean android so it should provide a ton of features that others don't yet it doesn't have a lot of features that others have.

          Even if I were to ignore that, this is a blatant iPhone copycat. From the dynamic island to the software. I think that's sad and no one's gonna pay even 70k for an iPhone copycat phone, they'd rather have a real iPhone or a Chinese fake iPhone for 5K. I'd rather have the Mate 60 Pro with it's unique front punch hole design than this copycat one.

                      In India, anyone willing to spend north of 50-60K INR will go for iPhone only. Some might go for Samsung or may be a Pixel but I dont think people spend such a huge amount on Honor, Xiaomi, oppo, vivo etc.

                          For 512GB pricing is way too high. Ideal price should be 69999 cuz S24+ is also coming in same price range.

It just doesn't have that brand power or reputation to entice customer in that budget. Its poor sales would be the evident of that. Users looking for phones that expensive just go for samsung or iphone even if there are better ones

                              Being priced the same as X100 pro ain't the smartest decision. Especially when your software is known to be one of the weakest in the android world and non existent support.

                              Not to mention the main cam is only a 1/1.3" sensor, the zoom isn't that great and the zoom is only 2.5x natively. Should've been 80k or less.

                              Whatever stigma people may have against Xiaomi but their software is good now and their update policy is now getting better, you could say it's acceptable now at least. Honor's just great for people who want to spend money for the sake of spending. They spent more on marketing this phone than properly optimizing the experience/ensuring the best updates.
