Hi., 03 Aug 2024I have 128GB here; I've not even filled up to 50%, wit... moreObviously, it may be sufficient for 2024, but for further software upgrades and applications update in future years in addition to photos and videos stored for future memory will consume the space and by force customers have to exchange or upgrade for higher storage capacity phones.
Initially, when I shifted to android, I was using Sony Ericsson's Xperia Neo V which had just around 320 MB left for customers to install apps, but we were allowed to move installed apps to SD Card and that use to run smoothly without any lag because the apps were small in size. But, it is not the case now as there are heavy apps in play stores that may people regularly use it.

It's pretty absurd people crying about the 128GB base storage. It is just one option (for those that don't need much storage). For those who want more storage, there is a 256GB storage option. Now, if only 128GB storage was being offered, the criticism would have been valid.
Secondly, the underlying concept for offering various storage options is an economic concept called 'price discrimination'. Even though the cost to companies for 256GB storage modules is less than $5 higher than 128GB module, companies like Apple, Google and Samsung charge $60-100 higher to segment their customers in terms of price sensitivity. This is a pretty standard way to maximise their profits while offering the product to most price sensitive customers at a price lower than what they would have offered if there weren't multiple variants.

These companies that make garbage phones that lack basic features like a microSD slot ALWAYS feel the need to offer double the base storage to try to convince people into buying their new limited devices.
All this tells me is that people did value storage size and expandability and they only removed it to try to push them into their crappy cloud rip-off servicea like Google One, Samsung Cloud, etc.
Also, don't count on Google extending these promotions to the whole of Europe. They usually stick to just a couple of European countries since demand for these iPixels is virtually non-existent here.

128gb for android without expandable storage in 2024 is of no use. 5 to 6 huge apps will cover the entire space and there will be no space for photos or videos.

A product isn't a product by itself, you have to include the price. A 400k dollar car might be amazing but would you say it's a good product when it skimps out on practicality? The main problem is the Pixel phones are flagships with flagship prices and are called "Pro" yet their specs say anything but. I don't even care about chips but non-expandable storage that starts at 128 GB? Nice meme. The prices these companies charge for 128 more gigs should be criminal now due to there not being expandable storage. I can go and buy 2 TB 980 Evo SSDs for the price of the storage upgrade that Google expects for 1 TB.

It was rumoured that, Tensor G4 is based on Exynos 2400 and Exynos 2400 is doing good in S24 series. But now, Tensor G4 is entirely different from Exynos 2400 in performance or benchmark. Finally, G4 is little improved version of G3.
Should wait for user reviews. Should not be trapped for offers or discounts.

Well, it's not a bad phone, neither is the performance. But for the price, I'm sure Google can do better.
