Like what is this battery spec war even all about. Batteries are not an expensive part, smaller batteries are kept for size and weight considerations.

If you look at the smartphone development in the last 10 years you will come to the conclusion that battery capacity is just one aspect of good battery endurance. The Xperia XZ1 compact had a very small capacity battery but still the battery life was (is, since I'm using it currently as my main device) pretty good.

Ouifuf, 03 Aug 2024Curious of apple will ever release a 5000mAh battery IPhone... moreThe Chipset would kill it's battery life. Apple uses ARM V.6 in the A16. So, that means apple is using a modified Cortex A78 Core on that Chip, with albeit higher clock frequency.
If apple switches to ARM v9, it's over.

Everyone will buy the affordable iPhone SE (2025) and the best excuse to justify your purchase is that it is a small iPhone.

Why apple don't use simpler numbers ending with zero? Both battery capacity and screen resolution numbers are weird.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2024In a world where 9 out of 10 Droids are huge, heavy bricks ... moreI'm not really sure if lightweight is a word you could describe Apple's phones as, the iPhone 15 pro max is a seriously hefty phone at 221 Grams despite having a 4400 mAh battery (and that titanium frame thing which was supposed to be lighter), that's only 8 grams (can't even tell the difference between 8 grams) lighter than the Nubia Redmagic 9S Pro with a fan, a 6500 mAh battery, etc.

Hi., 03 Aug 2024In a world where Androids are having 5400+ mAh, batteries..... moreAs an android phone user, battery capacity isn't the only thing phone makers should take advantage of to increase battery life, hats off to apple for making their iPhones so efficient with significantly smaller battery capacities compared to our Androids. They are the real innovators in this regard, because a smaller battery means less occupied space which means a thinner phone. Seriously though it's mostly Huawei on the Android side making thin phones with high efficiency or at least high battery cell capacities, i hope Qualcomm and MTK really just take a step backwards in the performance and power category and instead focus on battery life and efficiency of their chips instead of having the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 reach 5 million or something on Antutu.

In my experience iPhone shows good battery life in test charts but under heavily loaded (like enterprise apps and sync) it's really bad.
