70Watt hour battery, either its going to have some serious battery life, or that Snapdragon X is not as efficient as claimed. But like with Apple silicon these devices seem to end up being mostly non upgradable or not at all and presents another limited lifespan that is basically a throw away device. That seems to be the tend to make everything thinner. Must also be less expensive to have a robot solder everything.

you have to suffer, 04 Aug 2024IPS version of this would be better, with removable storage... moreHaha. Like you, I prioritize having a good IPS panel in a laptop. The idea of a laptop with potential burn-in is a deal-breaker for me, especially since I spend most of my workday on it.

rizki1, 04 Aug 2024knowing that these specs are not cheap, why not make a chea... moreIPS version of this would be better, with removable storage of course. OLEDs on laptops are just a recipe for disaster. what if you do too much work on your laptop but the screen suddenly gets burn in?? laptop screen replacements may be more expensive than phone screen replacements.

Just my opinion, 04 Aug 2024SSD is removable, not sure about RAM though. most likely not.i'm all fine for soldered ram but not soldered storage. i don't want the same case as a macbook turns into a $2000 paperweight after one of the flash chips dies. 💀💀

Gusta, 04 Aug 2024Snapdragon X processors are also have weird naming scheme. ... moreYou can't, friend, that will only cause losses in the long run, it's actually good with a strange name, it keeps the prices of laptops and computers from falling freely, on the plus side you can still sell X elite chipset laptops at prices still high, 70-80% of the initial price , and you will see a difference in performance when it is 5 years, for example the 2016 2021 chipset

While still not matching the battery life of ARM-based laptops, it isn't far

knowing that these specs are not cheap, why not make a cheap TN or IPS panel with 256GB storage and still use this Snapdragon X Elite, a lot of people care performance more than the screen, storage etc.
