Even Samsung is struggling with specs, if apple comes to the market with their foldables as first gen it's just not going to sell for 3000 like they intend.

Fold will coexist as a next level option for those who do not wish to carry two devices, mobile and a Tablet. It saves lots of space for those who travel a lot and consume and make content on the go. With slightly bigger screen, it can even make the life of the road warriors and frequent fliers easy with their executive meetings, ppt, excel and word dictations with AI. Flip and Fold along with AI will make lots of differences, but the hardware and battery needs to be better which is the tricky thing. Apple is nowhere near any of these in terms of Software or Hardware.

I can't even put a slab phone in my pocket without it sticking out, so it's not portable or practical. People need to start asking for more than just settle with whatever they get.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if between now and 2026 Apple doesn't cancel their plans. It's been 6 years and foldables haven't caught on. And they won't. They're a useless overpriced gimmick. No one needs their already oversized phone to open up into something even bigger.
So no one's adopting them.
The original Find N had the correct idea. Had Samsung & Co. adopted the same size and form factor, they might have made a case for foldables. But they didn't.
So now they have the 3D TVs of mobile in their hands.

PanRT, 04 Aug 2024Price? 3000 euro :DIt is actually a good tactic to price it outrageous so that not many will buy or complain (Just like Visio Pro), they can keep the portfolio with a device (Apple is good with making devices than services through Software) and people will forget it slowly. Win - Win for both!

This is basically the same “guess” as every other report for the last few years.
Reality, Apple won’t make a foldable iPhone anytime soon. It’s just a wet dream of YouTubers.
First foldable device imo would be a MacBook. An iPad is another possibility, but I’m betting on a MacBook first.

Afetr Apple copies Samsung or Sony, Apple fan will pretend Apple is the first to launch the foldable device, whether it is Sony style or Samsung style.
