Brave browser with adBlock, with Qwant search or Duckduckgo for me.
Most people hate google but it is too inconvenient to cut them out of your tech life entirely.

Average user isn't going to go select a different search tool or go through any work arounds...

Next up: Microsoft found guilty of monopolising (attempting) the web browser market by installing IE then and Edge now as the default browser in Windows. Imagine having to cough up millions when your shit browser doesn’t even have any market share.

Since I started using Bing, I keep getting much more meaningful results than Google. In fact, I stopped using Google for search results.

I think this is specific to US and few regions. But my question is whether this is applicable for Safari Browser or Safari Engine that drives all browsers in the iOS platforms? Because I never use Safar Browser at all (I am not in USA or Affected region, though). I pretty much use Chrome or Edge.

Just to correct the article, when the Bell System was broken up, nothing was sold off. The Baby Bells were each the Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) in each market. What was far more significant was that this enabled MCI and others to compete in the long-distance market, driving down prices there. And in the years following, many of the Baby Bells merged, forming the modern AT&T and Verizon.

I'm not sure we'd see a similar benefit if anti-trust action were taken against Google Search, since the only competitors indexing the entire Internet are Bing and Yandex, both with an inferior product. Likewise, there are many browsers to choose from, and most consumers actively choose to download Google Chrome. It's not an issue of lack of choice or knowledge, it's pure consumer preference.

Not gonna defend a corporation that doesn't even know I exist, let alone care, but without Google Search, Maps, Translate and other services, many of us wouldn't last a day. If not Google then someone else would have this monopoly. Maybe we all be mad at Microsoft and their Bing seach for the same reason lol
