Ever since Pixel 2 it's been a downhill slope in that department (since you-know-who left the company). Photos plagued with artifacts, oversharpening, color blotches etc.

Honestly, I'd happily pay what they are asking if they offered a pixel watch with it. I have no use for subscriptions, they have no value to me. I need a watch and I need a new phone and I need them soon. S24 ultra is looking like a better option now even though I kindof swore off Samsung...

Build quality- Electrostatic discharge with display sure sounds like good build quality
7 years of feature drops- Shade of doubt was already thrown with their software fragmentation attempt with pixel 8 lineup.
Industry-leading cameras-They won't be for long, if at all.

Pricing should be competitive or similar to Pixel 8 series.

Those horrible pricing with its specs features and said chipset those midrangers could be a great deal if Pixel 9 would cost not more than 500 and the Pixel pro up to 700 dollars othervise its heavy overpriced.
Pixel 8 series are half the price now and litterary no difference from 9 series.

lets see what discounts are available for it about a month after launch and around BF.
last year i was able to get the 256gb p8pro for 300 off in a month after launch when msrp was 1059.
if something similar happens to the p9 then i will not mind the price
It is almost never beneficial to buy a pixel at launch

For well over a decade, Apple's average hardware profit margin is just under 60% of the shop price! Why do you think they have such an obscene amount of cash in the bank? Everyone else is forced to increase and align their device prices because why shouldn't they when their products are typically superior to Apple offerings anyway. The only people who benefit are Executives and shareholders! We should be calling this out, not blindly accepting Apple's prices and profit margins as a reasonable benchmark.

I think there is no reason to choose Pixel 9 Pro XL when S24 Ultra exists. I personally like Pixel phones, but the pricing of Pixel 9 series is huge letdown. They should've had the same price with 8 series.
