I'd prefer if it actually worked. My chst translate feature straight up doesn't show Indonesian even after redownloading, clearing cache of Samsung keyboard and such..

Live translation could be done via google translator also since many years now.
I only liked that voice call live translation and i went to a nearby store to check it out but i found there is some delay in translation which can impact conversations.
My friend will buy it. I will try to see if it really works or not. If there's delay in those conversations then it will not be useful for me.
But if it works instant then i will consider buying it.

Gonvu, 09 Aug 2024S24 doesn't need any wifi connection.
This is is just... moreIn all fairness the person is probably under 25 and thus attention span is very limited as how society and social apps are geared to. Even information is a 30-60 second TikTok video, although most kids will replay the video several times to get all the information at once.
The article doesn't mention you need to download the languages for online translation though, neither does it say if Samsung pre-loaded the 17000 Z Flip 6's to all the Olympic & Para-Olympic athletes in advance; I presume Samsung did.

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2024You literally can do this with any phone with 3rd party app... moreThe key is a) not using separate apps and, b) manual invoking by launching a third party app vs a simple toggle on the screen from the indies shade. Which is faster. Also c) you have to manually ho into ChatGPT to tell it which languages to translate. And with 3rd party apps you NEED to do this every single time!
Now what if you wanted to save the conversation? Have fun! Ph and don't forget to grant permission on the phone microphone or the BT headet (most likely )

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2024You literally can do this with any phone with 3rd party app... moreBy that logic we should all stick to a Galaxy S2, as all phones are literally running on software?
The main point of this is, each person sees the conversation in their native language on their respective sides of the phone. Also, ChatGPT only does it one way, like Google Translate not both simultaneously.
