Am I the only one that sees the massive improvement in selfies? It's like night and day. I will definitely be getting the Leading Version purely because of the improved selfie quality.

I am wondering if the leading version will get better with updates. Maybe, it just needs to be optimised. The normal version had more time for optimisation. We'll see how it performs in the future. In the meantime, I'm still looking for a worthy upgrade from my Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. I don't want to get another Samsung but, I like the square form factor ad ZTE looked appealing. Well, I'll wait to see what the ZTE nubia Z70 ultra will bring to the table.

[deleted post]I don't think this article is useless, the differences might be minor, but it can help people decide which version to buy.

namzap, 20 Aug 2024i've always wanted to import and try zte phones but i ... moreThey're basically a gamble like xiaomi. Impressive specs but always seem to come last in battery test videos. They look the part but say to a friend you have a nubia they wouldn't know the brand. Like a poor man's s24ultra

I've had the Z50s Pro and it only lasted for a year. Battery is already bloated, No customer service support, no parts available in the market. What's not to like 😅

i've always wanted to import and try zte phones but i still don't find much information about their reliability or long term use.

                  Ugly vs ugly

I'm so confused. Does this company release flagship phones every 3-4 months? The Z70 will be out shortly and it has an upgraded panel that will allow the UDC to take better pic's.

IpsDisplay, 19 Aug 2024What's the point of this release If they released ... moreZTE isn't getting the launch exclusive so the magic 10 and Co probably coming out at the usual time anyway. This is a pretty much the same phone but I guess it allows them another round of the hype cycle. Which these days seem more important than the phone themselves.

Anyway I'm waiting for the oryon cores to get into their 7 series, so next year at the earliest. But exciting times.

What's the point of this release

If they released a mediatek dim 9300+ variant

Alright least there would be a more meaningful difference

Why release a phone like this and we have the arguably the biggest flagship chipset performance gain in generations dropping in 2 months from both qualcomm and mediatek

Looking at the camera samples, seems that the telephoto's purple-fringing problem has been fixed.

I learned that nobody is competitive to ZTE instead of itself

Old one was infinitely better simply cus it has better battery. An overclocked chip that'll give me at best 5% of an upgrade in real world tasks is not enough imo to go for this. This overclocked chip version doesn't make sense if there's no other improvement like for example a 144 hz display or faster charging or even a larger aperture for the main cam. It just honestly seems like more waste. Should've sold the Z60 at a discount.

this gives the pixel 9 pro xl a run for its money any day hahaha

They should invest the time to produce updates for the existing phones rather than bring uninspired copies. I'm a unlucky Z50s Pro owner and I'm angry that Nubia bring not even a single Android Update for the Z50s Pro from last year. Such a bad company !

It seems ZTE had nothing to do with their time. Oh well. ☹️

It's a very sad state of affairs that variations of this phone are the only new phones without punchholes.
