It's about the same as its predecessor.

XCIV, 14 Aug 2024That was intentional. Too lazy to type on a Xiaomi post. This is a website visited by people from throughout the world. Most of the time, people assume that others are from their community/country and that others would understand the subtle nuances in their usage of language, but fail to realize that it could be totally alien to others.

I always try to write any post in neutral English.

India launch when I wonder 🤔

I only use mine for the time, to see who's sent texts (but not the content) and for the alarm. Being woken up by it vibrating is better than having an audible alarm from a phone. I set two alarms, five minutes apart, in case I go back to sleep.

Been using them since the first Mi Band (did that have a monochrome screen or am I hallucinating?) and the battery life is what does it for me. It's so good! I don't really use more than step counter and time, but it's nice to see notifications and sleep cycles and stuff too.

They increased the brightness of the screen.
They changed the case material from plastic to aluminum.
They changed the sensors to something brand new to improve the accuracy.

Oh! They actually reduced the price, so I would say not bad for consumers. 🙄

So, what is the point of making a (new) product that is almost the SAME as the previous generation?? What is 'needed' is a leap-frog in features & benefits, not just the same old... It is just a waste of space.

I'm still using my Mi Band 4. I see my daughter charging her Apple watch every day and laugh. I only charge mine once every three weeks. I'd buy the Band 9 if this one died.

Hopicus, 12 Aug 2024looks uglyThe looks haven't changed since Smart Band 7. They are exactly same size(+/- 2 mm) and same display.

The pill shape looks slightly feminine, but plenty of men wear bracelets that looks like that.
