Last year's top-end Samsung foldable goes against this year's Z Fold6. Is the price premium for the newer one worth it?

samsung galaxy fold will be eaten up by huawei 's three fold, if samsung fold doesn't get better.these are high end phones and bought by those for whom money is not an issue.

      It took Google to completely turnaround an admit they got it wrong on its 1st Gen fold and but yet after 3 years Samsung is a joke in the large foldable, still refuses to change their dated dinosaur ZFold series designs and hardware other than the tiny minor 0.1mm wider and no changes to battery or cameras.
      I am so fed up with waiting for the last 3 yrs that I am going to buy the Pixel 9 Pro Fold instead.
      RIP Z Fold 4, 5, 6.

        Firstly samsung launched foald handset while every year they were coming up with updated version with increase in price with lil changes ......... even know they had done same I had purchased folad 5 but know guys you can check the price list it's got down like anything! IN ANOTHER WORDS TOTALLY WASTE OF MONEY.......

            [deleted post]I see these comparisons as pretty useful, actually. This way you can see how little improved the new model is, therefore showing it's not worth the money over last year's model. So overall, it can help the average buyer save some money.

              Wow great improvements Sammy; you can pat yourselves on the back.
              I wonder how many Fold 6 was sold this time round as sales have been falling yr after yr while Samsung been flogging the dead horse repeatedly expecting it to win the race,
              Instead Samsung has fallen to the last place as every single competitor has better hardware and designs while Samsung stays stagnant for the last 3 years!
              I am quite sure sure Pixel Fold 2 will beat ZF6 in sales too despite I believe the major hurdle issue to be heating & battery life issue due to Tensor G4 and guess who made the chip and wont even use on its on ZF6? Google either got it really cheap from Samsung Foundry or got a really bad deal.
              Yet, after only 1yr Google managed to change nearly everything else from the Pixel Fold 1st gen hardware while Samsung has been sitting on their laurels for the last 3 years with disgraceful tiny upgrades; same cameras, battery, 0.1mm wider front display & still no S-pen slot....lol.

                      Same phone, but the Fold5 I think looks better, the only thing the Fold6 offers is that it's a bit faster, not that the Fold5 would be slow.

                            If the screen was harder it wouldn't fold, or maybe it would be 2 screens splitted like the Surface DUO. 🤔

                                  Fragile if you let rocks inside of it yeah. I mean is like saying glass cannot break from a hard drop.
                                  Is a foldable, most don't have such gigantic screens because when you fold it close it should fit in your pocket.
