Teardown video shows Nio Phone 2's premium and not so premium components

The phone is priced like a flagship and has tight integration with Nio cars. However, some elements could have been better.

The latter which is the strongest I've seen measured on the vickers hardness scale. Calling GG Victus 2 for premium makes little to no sense, as it lags behind the competition. It is a decent option for those who can have better glass made though.

    Most chinese flagships have more RAM and better camera sensors than iphones, SGS' and pixels, including type 1.0 sensors for years now. HW wise, superior and more costly. UFS 4.0 is also widely used.

    Xiaomi is also leading the 12-bit race whereas Samsung is the farthest behind sticking solely to 8-bit, even in their flagships. Even iphone now has at least one 10-bit, or maybe two. The 15 pro max, and possibly the pro. Still not 12-bit though, and I doubt that the 16 series will bring it already, but at least all 16 models will likely be 10-bit. Possibly forcing sammy to do the same with SGS 25, one can hope. Oh and sammy also skimps on video codecs (no dolby vision) and also on bluetooth codecs. Even this niche device from Nio offers a 10-bit panel and more bluetooth codecs than SGS 24 ultra, including aptX HD and aptX Lossless, and better charging and IR blaster. And again, this is a little niche device by a car manufacturer.

    So stating that Chinese manufacturers skimps on components is very misleading. They typically have less resources for camera software dev., but they do not skimp on the HW components. The more mainstream giants are the ones who does that. You get more and/or more advanced HW from the Chinese.

      For me it could be SD 8s gen 3.
      Benchmark numbers on paper are different but in real life use it will have same speed and results like SD 8 gen 3.
