Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra mock-ups by Ice Universe show slightly rounded corners

15 August 2024
The sharp corners of the S24 Ultra are pretty bad for ergonomics, the 2025 phone might bring a few tweaks to improve that.

.alpha, 16 Aug 2024Looks like a nubia or Red MagicThough the Nubia is slightly less rounded and I prefer Nubia conners than s24 or 25 conners.

✓So it's neither too rounded nor has sharp 90° conners.
✓Samsung might be going for a FAIR design.
✓Definitely not a copy of iPhone / S 21 ultra with real rounded corners.
✓It's also not really but almost like a Nubia / Note 10+ with very little rounded corners. (It's Unique)
    • If the S25U U bezels are further reduced & it shouldn't dig in the palm then the frame & therefore the screen must be rounded a bit and sacrificed just like the selfie camera takes very little screen and it could sure be worth it.

So basically back to Note 10 lite.

I really loved how the base Note 20 felt to hold and it looked fantastic. I hope its a similar design.

I hate my S24Ultra, and use my old Note10 instead. S24Ultra is way too big, bulky and heavy. My Note 10 is only 168grams and still works well.

sharp corners dig your palm and your pockets. even cut and tear the pockets. softer corners are much better for ergonomics.

leave it as is.. we love it like it is currently

I had the S24U for a bit, but with the size and weight, the sharp corners made it very uncomfortable to use, and kept digging in my palm, whenever I held the phone with 1 hand. Realistically, no design should sacrifice comfort fot a bit more distinguishable looks. I appreciate the very slightly rounded corners, honestly you don't really loose any useful "screen real estate" like some people were saying, and I will be giving it a try if it comes out with this design.

fren, 15 Aug 2024samsung please increase the screen size. 6.8" is too small All this debate about whether the rounded corners are good or not. Overall
it's a small detail subject to subjective opinion. The important thing here is that the S24 Ultra andredesigned S25 Ultra(or any other mobile phone by SAMSUNG) is long lasting and worth the money. It's a substantial investment to buy any mobile phone so you need to have the device meet your needs as well as be visually appealing and everybody has different definitions of what that means.

Regarding the screen size, I respect your opinion about wanting a larger screen. This is another one of those subjective things. How big is too big? SAMSUNG is being quite generous making the S25 Ultra's screen 6.8 inches. Some mobile phones have become quite difficult to use because the screen has become larger than what you can comfortably hold. However, to each their own. Personally I think that a screen that is 6 inches is adequate and acceptable. Anything bigger is too much. These mobile phones are supposed to be portable, look stately, plus be usable and long lasting. Customers who like other OEMs are most welcome to jump ship and purchase another phone. So far SAMSUNG has been reasonable. Anything bigger and you might as well realize that the device is going very to hold.

I prefer the squared off look on the S24 Ultra
