AnonD-156746, 19 Jul 2013LOL!!Samsung had nothing to do with introducing 720p video ... moreThank you for proving what you ignore.
Who modified the chip? Who made the phone? Who made the first 720p mobile camera in the phone? "I guess that's more fitting to your logic."
By that logic then nothing is really innovative. It's mostly all out sourced or done before or just merged with mobile.
And of course you just ignore it. Because it makes sense. It's funny how it's ok for you to say it to me over and over and over and over and over again, but if I say it to you it's a problem and you refuse to acknowledge it. Hypocrite much????

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2013 Samsung downgraded the Octa's performance on the S4 purpos... moreDon't try to guess-answer for the sake of Samsung, as far as we know is that, if the speed had been downgraded it is because of stability issues and also most notable would be due to battery consumption.

AnonD-156746, 19 Jul 2013and where does that say it is even close the snapdragon in ... more Samsung downgraded the Octa's performance on the S4 purposefully in terms of speed and battery consumption so that the S4 with the S600 would be close to the S4 with the Octa in terms of general performance. Samsung have probably optimised the Octa this time so that it really offers better battery life.

Lapax, 19 Jul 2013We hear about more and more powerful processor/chipset ever... more Because consumers have been inculcated with the idea that slimmer is better, there is a limit to the volume of batteries. Today's technology used in batteries is limited in efficiency, so you can get only that much power from a battery of a certain volume. To develop a new type of battery is much more difficult than to make a better processor.

True Facts, 19 Jul 2013All these talk about big.little.. battery consumption.. bat... more Unfortunately for us, Apple made sure that Android is the best OS today, the only acceptable one on the market. Other OSes were better optimised but they were killed.

This is what I'm gonna planning to customize my next smartphone to replace the old but still rocking SGS3.
So I just want to share the specs I wanted to my possible Galaxy Note 3:-
1. 6 inches, 2560x1440 pixels at 489 PPI
2. Super AMOLED Plus with RGB Matrix
3. Beefier 9500 mAh battery.
4. Exynos 5 Evolved or Quad core Snapdragon 800
5. Adreno 330 GPU (Adreno 350 if existing)
6. 4 GB RAM and 125 GB Internal Memory
7. 16 MP rear and 5 MP front Camera
8. UNIBODY Water and Dust Proof Carbon Fiber or not glossy Polycarbonate and Shock Resistant Phone
9. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie
10. Dual SIM support
11. Bluetooth Headset out of the box to make calls and music listening easy.
Thickness of the phone is not a problem to me. I want a computer replacement on my hand everywhere I go. I don't mind paying $1500 for my dream phone.

AnonD-156746, 19 Jul 2013game-changer in the sense what nokia did with nokia 1100,or... morePhablets did not change anything? They did mate, They bought the profit.
Every one knows that Phablets are bigger phones with some extra goodies, but the segment/category was not idealised until samsung introduced and made it a success.
yes, its targeted a limited buyers, but now most of the companies have entered in the bandwagon of releasing their own Phablets. Other OEMs are actually follwoing the success of Samsung.
In short , game changing need not be a tech revolution alwayz. Samsung made things more user-friendly /reachable to customers.

Even samsung themselves suffered long time, and have to heavily tweak their custom touchwiz over this piece of turd. (Touchwiz have better performance/batt then stock)
Someone need to spank the developer of android... NO MORE crap eye candy features.. redesign it from the core up .. and bring it performance!

Actually samsung did well in making a new market of different screen size phones.
But the problem is android.. that crap OS which never help Samsung in anyway but lags / does not support that increase in screen size.
If you look at s4 and note 2 for now, its practically similar in UI, no leverage in anyway in displaying more information on the larger screen size.
Even in the tablet sector, android is breaking everything... they trash the old good tablet UI (honeycomb/ICS) with favor of giant phone UI (4.2.2).. resulting in samsung not even caring in this sector.. they even add back the 3 buttons because of androids crappy top statusbar and bottom bar (reduce 20% of screen real estate).
