I don't care for the pro
It's a word I guess and I'm not buying into those ones
But if Samsung actually makes the s26 ultra/note actually look like a note then I'm good with it

I think samsung made a W move on the note part, the fact that they haven't created a new note model for 6 years is wild! Also in my opinion, the s26 pro kinda confuses me since it reminds me of iphones, but I think it's a good change

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2024Samsung should just bring back the Note series rather than ... moreRight and that Ultra brand identity has a pen for 3 generations now. "Just bring back the Note" will seriously confuse it. But maybe they have to, but in other way: as Apple and the Pixel guys are offering a more compact Pro- version and are very succesfull with that. Real conundrum, unless they just add this PRO version (under whatever name) to the lineup or reduce the + version in size and give it the ultra main camera. They already went qhd en 12gb ram with the S24+

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2024I understand that this is the tech industry and that change... moreAbsolutely logic. Yet, where is Samsungs MORE COMPACT high end flagship model? You know, an option Apple and Pixel are offering and selling well for years. There's the rub! So if Samsung is ok with adding a 4th flagship model, named the PRO, the old names can co exist, but maybe they just want three models and one of them has to be a more compact PRO, the naming system might be under construction work, as we speak.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2024So Note is okay, but S Note is pathetic?the heritage of galaxy note series is basically gone. they tried to revive it but it's not the same. as if a ford mustang used to be a muscle car but they turned into a electric SUV.

I understand that this is the tech industry and that change is sometimes inevitable. However, SAMSUNG would not be smart to fool around with its mobile phone naming system now. It will only confuse repeat customer and potential new clients.
As one of the previous commenters mentioned, the naming system for SAMSUNG mobile phones is part of its brand identity which ties in with brand loyalty. I don't think the company wants to lose customers. However, considering renaming the mobile phone naming system after its been established for such a long time would confuse people. There is a reason competitors (mainly Apple) settle on one naming system and stick to it. Brand loyalty is more likely to be remembered than some trend. I prefer the current naming system. S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra sound fine to me. As they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and "stick with the tried and true method." Why introduce confusion when what you want is clarity, familiarity, and brand loyalty? It's not a wise idea.

Ok, that's it. i will buy my second Samsung phone. I am impressed by the fact One UI can handle 200 apps if that was really the case. We dont want to use any chinese phone that experience automatic app force close after opening 4 apps.

Samsung should just bring back the Note series rather than do this mess-up. The 'S Ultra' naming scheme has become a brand identity for the Flagship Samsung Phones, changing that would basically be 'hitting your own leg with an axe' for Samsung.
