tbh, it looks really ugly phones when phones have those big round camera islands, the lens/flash alignment also looks very asymmetrical, the non ultra phone from Xiaomi looks much better

We will be happy if Ultra will increase brightness of the FLAT screen, add +1000 mAh battery, esim, UWB, ultrasonic reader .... lets go to the league one.

The use of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 by OEMs is a mistake: the Dimensity 9400 is faster, has better power efficiency and costs less. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 requires a battery of at least 6000 mAh

CamoGeko-XDA, 19 Aug 2024Ceramic actually feels amazing on phones, and no fingerprin... moreIt's likely though not to be the traditional type of ceramic on phones like the Xiaomi 13 pro but is probably the new type of ceramic that caused a lot of controversy on the Xiaomi 14 ultra.
However, the blue "Dragon Crystal Ceramic" version, which is only 5g heavier than the "ordinary glass" version, has caused considerable controversy among domestic mobile phone players. The new type feels like glass rather than the traditional ceramic that was used on previous models. I've quoted the following from an article in China.

'Lab tests have pointed out that the 14 Ultra's "Dragon Crystal Ceramic Back Cover" may be a microcrystalline glass, because its waveform results show that the back cover material is very similar to petalite crystal (a material that is the same as the iPhone's super-ceramic glass). This shows that although it is advertised as "ceramic", the 14 Ultra back panel material is actually closer to a specific type of glass.

There are also views that this so-called "Dragon Crystal Ceramic" is neither glass nor ceramic in the traditional sense. This statement suggests that the material may belong to a new type of composite material, which has some properties of glass and some properties of ceramics.'

There is definitely one Chinese phone using the first ultrasonic sensor from a Chinese company as there was big hype about it. Many of the next generation flagships will use it as it's way cheaper (but still far more expensive than optical scanners)
