Vivo was lacking in performance so they created iQOO and then Vivo V series this year is also pretty powerful and overall both devices are good. iQOO just doesn't have stand against their own sibling, V40 Pro

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2024What's offered isn't just about cameras and chips... moreThe iQOO Z9s and Z9s Pro are just standard versions and are somewhat disappointing because they aren't a main focus for Vivo. Their quality is more prioritized in the Vivo V40 series and the Vivo Y100 5G series and above. iQOO versions are cheaper with more features and quality cuts compared to Vivo. iQOO is like a refreshed version of Oppo. Realme is like Vivo's well-cared-for sibling, especially with the Realme 13 Pro and 12 Pro, but the lower versions suffer from significant cuts and less value for the price. The Vivo X series stands out as the best because their chipset performance is consistently highlighted, showing a higher priority compared to iQOO, Oppo, and the Vivo Y series models below the Y100, which often lack stability.

For example, the Samsung A05 and A15 are frequently promoted, so cheaper models tend to sell better compared to the A25. Samsung's S series is also more budget-friendly. Similarly, Oppo and Vivo focus on their mid-range and high-end models, leading to lower-end models often being less impressive, despite their higher prices compared to competitors. Xiaomi's Redmi Pro series is generally more reliable than the non-Pro versions, while Poco offers high performance but lacks stability, with models like the Poco X being particularly problematic. Vivo’s V and X Pro series outperform the iQOO series, and Realme’s mid-range models, like the Realme 13 Pro, are better than the Pro Plus.

It's VFM to buy if it comes at 21999 or under 24000 but at 24999, you get Vivo V30 which is very much better & gets 50MP Triple Cameras on phone as opposed to 50MP+8MP+2MP & 16MP Selfie only if you are interested in Vivo or IQOO otherwise you get OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G with 8/256 Storage. Vivo V30 is available under INR 25000 in offline market & sometimes in online market as well.

Just go for the Nothing 2a.

The choice of optical finger print scanner placement lower is not just a matter of preference for brands. Rather it is a matter of cost. Brands such as Oneplus have clear stated the cost for the higher fingerprint scanners is double the cost for the lower ones. In China they frequently mention this as the majority of consumers prefer the higher one (which they call 'ultra thin') rather than the lower one (which they refer to as 'short focal'). Basically, cost is the reason most phones go for the lower one especially in the midrange category

I'm starting yo recognize an ominous pattern on GSMarena:

If yhr article begins about a phone talking about thr camera amd software features BEFORE the chipset used - then it's a terrible chipswt or 1 or 2 generations old to Dave on costs.

Also possible the reason. Of using that format, since editors of a global database site for ALL phones SHOULD BE IMPARTIAL regardless of mak3 ir model showing no preference by definition, is likely being PAID by the manufacturer.

Looks like a budget model of the IQOO 12 Pro.

Honestly Vivo needs to sort out their naming scheme.

Please someone tell me what the third sensor on the back is below the main camera...
