It'll be overpriced at release to be cannibalized by discounted s24, xiaomi 14 and op12, while it should be priced to compete with op12r, but i believe it will, shortly.

    You can get a pretty good read on how Android skins perform even with chips like the Helio G99, which performs like chips found in 2022 midrange phones.

            Xiaomi, for example, completely ignored Monet, Even COLOROS found a way of integrating Monet. Meanwhile Xiaomi just set the system permanently to a random color palette based on the wallpaper color and that only applies to the Google apps. because it interferes too much with their schtick of looking like iOS.

            Plus annoying things like the 10 second popups when messing with important settings? It's like they're assuming every user is stupid

            The only thing I see them doing better than OneUI is animations and that's about it.

            I miss MIUI 9 that ran like a champ on even low end hardware. Now that was much better than the same-year Samsung skin. The way it got messier and Messier after version 10? Nah

                  I'm using phones with both HyperOS 1 and OneUI 6.1 and I haven't noticed any features missing from HyperOS that are there in OneUI (Except Extra Dim, which exists, but it's in a hidden menu). In fact, HyperOS has even more features than OneUI while still running faster on equivalent hardware.

                    All the Chinese skins have over OneUI is the goddamn animations everyone makes a big deal about.

                    Also, a slightly better SoC won't make up for the fact that most flagship killers are rocking plastic bodies and cameras that could well be a single camera the only actually usable sensor is the main one


                    But use cases are use cases. I used Chinese phones for ages and now in happy in the Samsung camp. Others might prefer something else

                        Its architecture is completely different and also has 8 cores not 9 like G3.

                          After using a lot of Chinese phones the Samsung software experience is above them all. However this phone is not good value at launch price. I bought the S23 fe for approx 400 Euro which is a decent deal. At 650 Euro there are older Samsung phones like the S23 that are a better option than this phone. It's only when it's heavily discounted that such a phone makes sense. The tele camera is only 8 MP and needs a sensor upgrade but this S24 FE seems to have the same sensor only.

Like better Isp you can record video at 8K or 4K at 120fps while 8s gen 3 like other midrange focus on perfomance but lack those premium flagship features like you can record video max 4K 60fps.
