              12mp is enough for mostly user for social media (photo get downsized), i miss the old days camera that has no extra "processing" or "intelingence" like iphone 6s or 7.

                Ugly. I don't like the Pixel 9 design either, but atleast they somewhat tried. This is just nothing. Hell, people complain about Samsung, but atleast their camera design looks timeless, this though isn't it, Apple. It looks like the current iPhone design, but strictly worse, especially on the non-Pro. Atleast the camera Island is protruding less? Still, simple elegance is not easy to achieve, if done wrong, it just looks cheap, like it does here in my opinion.

                  I have a feeling this is a preamble for Apple to remove the volume buttons in future iPhones. I mean when you have a trackpad like "button" where you can swipe up or down, in a sense you can reprogram that for volume control.

                  Maybe it's just another step towards that portless and physical button-less iPhone that has been rumored for a while.

                    Compare the back sides of a s24 , a55 and a35, without touching them to see the difference in materials, they are really just look the same.
                    It's kind of the same deal with IPhone, same back design from IP11 onwards, just that they don't really have budget phones to compare, execept the little cheaper older models

                                I think that it’s so funny that back in the day windows phone had this as a mandatory component and everyone rebelled but now apple is about to do it everyone has nothing to say….just wow .

Admittedly I haven't tried a 5x zoom phone but from photos it can be easily seen that sensor size matters infinitely more than zoom.

                                  Look at the X100 Pro vs X100 Ultra shots in the GSMArena review for the X100 Ultra. You can see that even though the X100 Ultra has less focal length, it has more bokeh. Look at the Find X7 Ultra's shots of the person in the review. Compare the 3x and 6x and you'll see the 3x has more bokeh.

                                  Idk who told you more zoom = more bokeh but it's just wrong. The 5x zoom lens doesn't compress much compared to the compression of 1x-3.5x, the compression is like a logarithmic thing, the higher compression you want after a certain point you need to exponentially increase the focal length to achieve that. Like 0.6x to 1x, huge difference, 1x to 2x, huge difference, 2x to 3x, not so huge of a difference and then keep going up and the differences get smaller.

                                  Besides, who cares about the bokeh of a 5x when it can't do macros AND when you're just going to use the portrait mode anyway? The X100 Ultra is the exception cus the bokeh is so good you just don't need portrait mode. Xiaomi's 14 Ultra is another example, the 5x has so much bokeh BECAUSE of the large aperture. Compare Xiaomi's 5x with Oppo's 6x and you'll see Xiaomi has better bokeh even tho the Oppo zooms in more, it's cus the Xiaomi has a huge aperture compared to the Oppo.

                                    Tldr, 23 Aug 2024You can miss LG all you want; there's a reason why the... moreTo be fair LG always used to try their little experiments on their actual flagships and not some dedicated line for experimental phones and unfortunately this meant that if they fked up it's going to hugely affect their sales, not to mention they had 2 flagship lines at a point. Still LGs audio is miles better than most flagships even today and they still make some of the best displays. So LG is still relevant in the phone business

For instance, Xiaomi and Huawei have variable aperture for capturing starry sunlight. Another feature is telephoto with micro function. Last but not least, 16bit ultraraw with 16ev dynamic range, better portrait mode, and preferable detail on 50,70mm focal length also help alot when I am on my street photography journey.
                                      Btw, 2160 or higher pwm or dc dimming is necessary, only available on some of the Chinese smartphone s.
