            It still makes sense to get any portable AR glass monitor from the likes of Xreal, Rokid, TCL RayNeo, and Viture and use either one for your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or console. Standalone mixed reality headset still has a LONG way to go mainstream.

Competition existed BEFORE they released the Vision Pro and it is scarce because the target audience is basically non-existant. A fancy VR headset that can't even be used for games is a bad joke, that would have been the reason why Meta would have succeeded while Apple flopped, if they went through with it.

                      Instead of making a competition for apple vision pro. Why not make a device that will surely attract adult users to buy Meta Quest 3 because it may be sold along with the headset? One such idea is the Shaft Massager? Complete with hand sanitizer and is an IP68 rating. Rechargeable via type c and can be WASHED easily?

                            90/96Hz refresh rate says hello. Every other VR device at this price point would have a 120Hz refresh rate, but not Apple. You see, Apple is special, and so they just HAD to decide on using an inferior refresh rate.

                                I mean... Meta already has a Vision Pro competitor. It's called the Quest Pro.

                                I don't know why they bothered wasting development time and money on making something that they already had. You might as well just make a Quest Pro 2. That or push the Quest 3 as the "best cheap VR and XR option" or something.

                                  Plot twist: Meta released the original Quest Pro to troll Apple into releasing an unsellable failure.

                                  "Hey, you need to make it more expensive than this to compete"...

                                    Good move Meta.
                                    Apple is full of flops where they pour billions in and then they say its not possible,

                                      isn't apple vision already competition to quest? this stuff has been around for decades, yet it is still unaffordable by the masses. Meta's focus on a less expensive alternative is the right direction to take.
