rizki1, 26 Aug 2024like phones, each new flagship SoC is also getting hotter, ... moreThat's the thing though, Apple was touting how efficient the Macbook Air is, so it was easy to cool. With each new gen the cooling would need improvements, but Apple did not do anything (except make it cheaper on the second gen Air). TDP increases, but not increasing the cooling is what ruined the Macbook Air in my opinion

Also I really want Arm Windows laptops to take off, not for the stupid ai features, but because I hate Intel, and I think they’re a terrible company, so Intel losing market share would make me happy

The fanless design was one of the main selling points of M series MacBooks. Now the temperature has risen up so much that Apple should consider using fans.

My Asus Zenbook also has fan noise like it’s summoning a demon or about to take off when doing anything much. I’ll be moving to a fanless laptop when I replace it.

ARM should focus on making its platform gaming compatible

can't game on it .. that sucks

The laptop build quality, and performance is up to the mark , I will recommend Snapdragon laptop over intel.Amazing performance more than I expected. This is a revolutionary laptop after from Asus. The ASUS Vivobook S15 is my first ever Laptop and I couldn't be more impressed. I only purchased this item a month ago, so I have hardly scratched the surface of what this first Generation Snapdragon Processor Laptop can do.

The poor state of x86/ARM emulation in Windows shows that Microsoft is still not serious about ARM. It's a shame because ARM hardware is actually quite good as demostrated by Apple.

Nice review. I don't know that I consider 1.42kg to be light though.

Also, 15.6" is too big for a laptop that's going to be taken out and about. I have a 13" Latitude 7390 and a 14" ThinkPad (X1 Carbon Gen 7). The ThinkPad is noticably lighter, but it's also bigger than I'd like. I'd prefer the size of the Latitude with the weight of the ThinkPad. That said, I put a larger battery in the Latitude, so that probably eplains the increased weight.

Naming your product after a rival company. Interesting move.

What are Asus going to launch next, the Xiaomibook?

Qualcomm should have launched 400-500 usd fast laptops for students. These are pretty much unaffordable.
