Charging trought the wire goes straight to your battery and within plug, cable, charging coild and before the energy reaches the battery there are so many defenders to protect the battery from heat electricity collisions etc its litterary safe to use for long or short time periods and often and since the power going trought many defesive add ons.
In case of wireless charging there is just your charger and battery plus back cover in between and a minimum defenses to prevent battery from overheating power outages i mean electricity collisions etc.
In other words battery reaches much higher temperatures and the chance for having damaged battery is more often.

However, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is rumored to be a power hog because of the switch to Oryon cores as opposed to Cortex (ARM) cores... this basically means we'll have to see how much a bigger battery will help.

As a proud owner of OnePlus 11 powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 8 Gen 2 along with fast 80w charging that's a high performance beast, it was so powerfully fast with tons of feaures that I forgo getting the OnePlus 12. That said, the upcoming OnePlus 13 powered by snapdragon 8 Gen 4 along with 100w charging and 50w wireless charging will be a mind boggling beast that'll match well against other 8 Gen 4 powered phones along with also matching up well against Media Tek dimensity 9400 powered phones and finally matching up well against Apple's iPhone 16 pro max powered by A18 pro. I'm sold on OnePlus.

After 1+1, 2, 3, 3T, 5T, 6T, 7T Pro, 8, 10, and finally 12. I can say that OnePlus is one of the best brands out there ! And it's unbelievable how the technology is improving every year.
This time I think 12 is so impressive, and I am so happy with this phone that it will take more than two three years to upgrade again. Maybe 13 is better than 12 but I would go for that only if I hadn't the 12.

One plus is shit nowadays. Meaningless software update, green line issue, heating problem, dead motherboard, high repairing cost etc . I'm writing this massage from OnePlus. Don't waste your hard earned money
