Hikari, 28 Aug 2024Can someone explain to me why batteries are heavily glued in?This is actually an important question considering phones previously used to have replaceable batteries and it was easy to pop open the back cover for repairs etc.

I think for phones which have wireless charging it has to have the coil so that might get a bit fiddly but I'm not an expert.

I know with the EU law going forward that phones will need to have replaceable batteries so manufactures will have to find a way around this.

Hoping in future replaceable batteries do come back so we can get bigger 3rd party ones.
I can guarantee after that smartphones won't have the batteries included in the box considering they already took out the chargers! 🤣

Hikari, 28 Aug 2024Can someone explain to me why batteries are heavily glued in?Most probably because they want you to buy new devices every time yours gets broken or older.

            [deleted post]Bruh

"environmentally friendly" company doesn't do anything to actually benefit the environment 🤯🤯 who would've thought?!

Their phones are just e-waste at this point.

                It is a mid-range with a premium high-end price.

So much for flagship that ain’t even flagship. More like midrange phones with flagship prices. With that price? I better off buying an iPhone 🙄

A really bad deal just got worse when you factor in depreciation and mid-range hardware...
