My S24U is not able to shot a good picture at 50mpx because of the bugs the camera has today and lets figure out 200mpx... The noise level at 50mpx is terrible, I never shot in my phone at 200mpx.
Phone companies should focus in cameras of 24mpx and thats it, we don´t need more mpx.

Too late, 30 Aug 2024Samsung should have launch this in 2022 or 2023 latest but ... moreI am not going to deny Samsung sh@ the bed by not putting good cameras on the Fold and Flip from model 1 or at least model 2. That was and always will be the dumbest thing ever especially at the $ 1000~ 2000 price range. However, Samsung will always be infinity ahead of Hauwei brands, and even though 1+ started out good it is now just another OPPO phone now just less bloatware. XiaoMi has started to fall in quality in the last 5 years and their stuff doesn't Last even if it is good off the shelf. Google is the real competition they need to worry about, they have the tech, the software and money to hurt Samsung phones especially if they partner with Sony for higher end cameras and have Leica lenses and tuned by Hasselblad. This alone would cripple the fold sales.

Samsung should have launch this in 2022 or 2023 latest but in 2024 this is just not up to scratch when Honor Magic V3, Oneplus Fold 2 (TBA), Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 all launching Globally just easily sh#ts all over this pathetic effort after 3 years of doing barely anything worthwhile. In terms of overall cameras (NO 5x Optical) , still thicker, battery size smaller (samsung porbabaly stick with the miniscule 4400MAh as they did for donkey years) when competitors have at least 5000 or 5500MAh these days.
So no thanks Sammy, it is just too late to even consider Dinosaur Tech hardware & desgins from Samsung Fold series; apparently it seems to me at least even the redesign hinge ZF6 is now worse than ZF5 as it now creaks in Jerry's test when encountering Jerry's Dust test while it did not before in ZF5 and the crease is not any better (not that I care that much about that).
If they had release this with S-pen built-in I might consider but too late as I am waiting for my Pixel 9 Pro Fold order.
Sadly another Dud Fold Series from Samsung playing catch up after being complacent 3 years of sitting in their laurels, ironically the pioneer in large foldables unlike the Original Note series which passes to the S2x Ultras.
Unless there are serious design changes in ZF7 and hardware it is game over for Samsung large foldables when competitors are now readying for larger Tri-folds in 2025 already
RIP Sammy Fold or shall I say Sammy Fool.

This is what Samsung should have done from the start. Focusing on CAMERAS. If they can beat the chinese in thinness and charging, beat them in cameras. OneUI is vastly superior in terms of customisiation and features, they should make the best camera foldable for everyone and price it competitively to beat the chinese.

Why would you need a 1000 MP lens when you can't even tell the difference between 108 and 200 MP on that small screen, and let's not forget the fact that it's gonna take 12.5 MP photos by default, what are you gonna do with a photo that takes up gigabytes of space and has the same detail as a 200 MP taken photo?
