in short, AI in every sense

Cpt.Power, 30 Aug 2024Well yes the samsung went horrbile way with its upgrading b... moreI do not care which OS I do use. They are both pretty similar I would say. But of course there are still some differences. Now with iOS 18 I can place my icons whenever I want, so I can use some wallpapers that I was not able to use. But did I mind? No! Was I side loading apps outside PlayStore? Also no. Was I using 3rd party launcher? No. Can I uninstall more apps or iOS than on Android? Yes, I can. I am still following what is going on outside the "Apple wall garden" but Apple Watch are the best smartwatches. They gave me some many data, which for someone who is into fitness, this is big, and I am using just the Apple Watch SE and still, more data than from Galaxy Watch, Huawei Watch or TicWatch. And do not want me to start about Garmin. Just read reviews on PlayStore and You will get it. MacBook with Apple Silicon is amazing. I have the M1 Pro 14" MacBook Pro, which I bought used for half of its original price and it will still hold strong for many years. I am not much of a tablet person, but still I bought iPad mini 2021, man have that power tablet in that small body? If some Android vendor did it, I would buy it immediately. I also bought this iPad used for half of its price.

Guess Vivo, Honor or something like this, maybe can give me the joy i had with Huawei Mate 20x or simular, which was the best phone i ever had, Mate 8 and 10 to btw.
MI11 Ultra with eu rom was a beauty i never forget to.

I miss the days when Samsung focused on DeX at SDC, especially with the introduction of Linux on DeX. Nowadays, it seems to be more of an advanced power user feature that only real enthusiasts can figure out.

Rather would buy Huawei with Harmony inside. Than having an Apple with IOS which is much more expensive than most android phones and their tottaly user unfriendly OS is a definitely no for me.
Just to my honest opinion cant speak for others.

S, 30 Aug 2024Those who updgrade their phone within even 3 year are just ... moreBro i upgrade every 2 years. And i am fine ad healthy.
Having a 3-5 or even 10 years oold phone which can runandroid and nothing else is useless.
When you make me a phone were i can update hardware will have no complains since a 10 years old phone takes many seconds runrun OS, to run brownser, facebook, tuik tok etc or will get not supported is a no for me.

Lastly said upgrading every 2 years means will sell my old phone stillm with a more than a decent value. Keeping it 5-10 years and then hoping someone will buy it for any price no thanks.

Kashyap03, 30 Aug 2024If you are upgrading a flagship phone every year then u mus... moreBro said Samsung with 7 or even 10 years of update is useless.
You can have even 100 years of updates who cares. But your hardware will not keep up. Said S24 in 2031 or after 7 OS updates will have zero value it will be full of complete useless bloatware and barelly running even android it self not to mention apps like brownser, facebook, whatsapp etc.
And you can forget about AAA Gamng.
Thos games evolve year after year just like the Forge of Empires for example game is here since 17.4.2012 and back then even something like Samsung galaxy young were good enough to play this game now something like A55 will have several difficualities to run the big progress in game lots of armies cities etc.
In said 7 years in 2031 the game will be so far that even phone with 16GB ram today will have several difficualities to run the game.

So once again alld evices should run as a stock android phone with bare minimum apps to have free and best experience running their phones without any issues. Othervise its a NO.

in short AI in every phrase

Bloatware, more bloatware and even more bloatware.
Someone can like it but will greatly slow down your device.
Samsung would do a lot better with Android One stock android option.
All phones should be released as a complete stock android with everything else as optional.

Its better for user and much better for phone starting with bare minimum apps running on backround and rest is up to user.
Instead of having 200+ apps from start which greatly slow down your device and user have to delete more than half to have a smooth experience with its phne.

Please try to stick with iPhone and Pixel phones only for the best software experience. Both Apple and Google has developed their OS and hence they offer the best optimization.

But if you want some of the best hardware experience then your only option are the chinese manufacturers. They offer camera having 1 inch sensor and a 200 MP telephoto. They have clearly become the best if hardware is considered. Previously Samsung used to do but now doing only incremental updates like Apple and Google, forgetting that they have control over software and hardware and they can do whatever they want).

Samsung has become dull while other android manufacturers are racing ahead mainly Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo and Huawei (Honor).

Need OneUI 7.0 be lean and run fast with less bloat , better animations and less usage of resources.

I'm a bit hesitant to see that as a good selling point. So far all Samsung phones i used are getting really slow/buggy after updating at some point (usually when N+3 successor comes out). Might be coincidence and/or related to Android version jump, but I would be very cautious with upgrades 2-3 years after the phone has been released. Provided android does not suffer too much from being old, I'd prefer a working device than having to buy a new one unexpectedly

S, 30 Aug 2024Those who updgrade their phone within even 3 year are just ... moreI mean, let people have fun. If they can afford it and they want something new to fiddle with, why not. I know I like fiddling with new phones and new cool features though we get less and less of them recently. It's just all the same which is why 7 years of updates is cool. Hardware doesn't really change much, but software still gets some cool features.

BigDisplay, 30 Aug 2024Wauvv... Not, I'm not impressed around Samsung and the... moreI am also done with them. They cripled the batter of S23+ after OneUI 6 update so badly. From being the best battery life to being just below average. Also the photos. Like the are not bad, just average. The midrange Samsung phones are great. One of the best camera, better then some Redmi, but not the flagship anymore. If I stayed with Android I would buy vivo X100 Pro or Ultra or Pixel 9, maybe OnePlus 12 but nothing more, if we are speaking about flagship. The midrange are different story. But not for everyone. For me, A55 is too wide. Also about the S23+, I read some shits like wipe cache, which I did and nothing happend. Or do a factory reset, why the fuck I would do that? Just because I updated my phone 🤦‍♂️ Thankfully I do not need to do that with iPhone. And iOS 18 beta is working amazing on 15 Pro.
