When you set up new devices, you'll finish installing all apps before you start testing the devices, right? In that case, this won't help save time. The waiting period will be pretty much the same.

I don't see how it will save time. It doesn't matter if you install 4 apps one by one or install 4 apps concurrently. The time it takes will mostly be determined by the write speed of the storage, which is fixed. Writing multiple files simultaneously doesn't increase the write speed. If the OS prioritizes downloading/updating smaller apps, this feature is pointless. Apparently it doesn't.

on low-end phones this will bring more heating issues as chrome alone makes low-end phone heats up more with single tab.

Finally after 15 years of iOS doing this already... any cheap electronic device could do this already except the beautiful google android. Finally can update multiple apps at the same time. Well hope with that the phone doesn't fry, because even updating one at a time android phones would get hot

Next update will apple allow 5 or 6 app to be updated simultaneously and will start mocking google.
Meanwhile Harmony OS will allows all apps to be updated at once and will make laugh of the rest of OS boh Android and IOS.

afronoia, 03 Sep 2024Asphalt & CoD already did that many years ago so not on... moreafaik, they only show total space required by the app itself that you're downloading from play store, not the total storage space needed after all the ingame downloads as that can usually vary a lot since some people might not download all the content.
