As always, CPU in Note is Clocked 200MHz higher than it's S counterpart. Still there's noticable lag.
Samsung, Why aren't you working on that?

Fast processor on Samsung?, but Samsung phone don't like multitask. It'll crash alot on heavy loads, Optimize your kernel Sam, then the song is sung.

Danb1986, 23 Jul 20131.2 + 20% = 1.45 not 1.3 and 1.6 + 20% =1.92 not 1.8 looks ... moreIt's possible to have an increase in performance without /any/ increase in clock, through improvement of the design. Ex. Intel hit 4GHz with the Pentium 4, but has since well surpassed that performance with LOWER clocks, because that frequency ramp wasn't sustainable.

All the firepower, beefier GPU and bench stats will be rendered useless if Samsung insist on Exynos being closed source and leaving users to put up w/ roughly less optimized stock firmware imo. This is precisely why the "10%" (which at this stage run into the MILLIONS according to CyanogenMod stats' alone) prefers the Snapdragon 800 for its 99% guarantee of quality functioning custom AOSP ROMs support.

This is an excellent SoC that can be the best should Samsung come to their senses.

The Galaxy Note 3 is the next big thing along with the iPhone 5S.

The Galaxy S4 is already the fastest selling smartphone in most European countries.

The Galaxy Note 2 sold about 20 million which is more than the sales of the HTC One.

Also I heard that the Galaxy Note 3 will feature optical image stabilization... something that most smartphones don't have.

And the Galaxy Note 3's WACOM digitizer is also a huge asset that other phablets don't have.

Basically the Galaxy Note 3 is more than a phablet, it's a personal and business assistant.

The Exynos 5 Octa will definitely be more powerful than the Snapdragon 800.

The Exynos 5 Octa is based on Cortex-A15 technology and Samsung may even incorporate its advanced memory to the Galaxy Note 3 (LPDDR4).

The Galaxy S4 uses LPDDR3 which is already lightyears ahead of other smartphones like the HTC One or iPhone 5 which use LPDDR2 memory.

I think samsung phones lag because of the touchwiz ui, other high-end android brands doesn't lag.

It's maybe the reason why sammy is going with 3GB of RAM in Note3 which is not worth it for other smartphone brands.

I hope Samsung uses the Exynos 5 Octa for the US variant of the Galaxy Note 3.

Exynos is much more advanced than Snapdragon.
