Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024Have you at least tried looking at the used market listings... morenot sure what you are looking at? i'm staring on eBay right now and tons have the displays both on and off, usually the ones with just front covers are second hand dealers and resellers not private sellers, they just grab generic stock photos, they do the exactl same with normal non folding phones as well.

Just try and see why most of the time the sellers only have one picture that shows the inner screen. 😭

[Updating my first comment] This tablet doesn't have any open vents like seen on their RM Gaming Phones though but still has a built-in cooling fan inside. RedMagic calls this as like an "in-air circulation cooling system". The hot and cold temperature travels through the liquid cooling pipes inside the tablet itself. Amazing stuff right..

Hope they'll implement this on their RM 10 series so it will be at least IP54 certified.

8' inch unfolds to 16' inches would be a killer gaming foldable pad.

How thick your glasses?? I'll bet it's really damn thick thicker 🙄
Hence why you need bigger ass display to see details. OMG 😱

HatingEqually, 04 Sep 2024They need to make 8 inch version of those gaming tablets...... moreLet me argue with 8 inch size.
I have lenovo legion go and it's rather small at 8.8 inches. Smaller devices, like Switch and Ally are far too small for me (need to put if next to my face to see details clearly). I played on a 17 inch portable monitor and the size was much better (but colors were crap, so I returned it). I'd consider a 10 inch console with detachable gamepads, or something, but none of the large manufacturers make anything of this sort, as far as I know.

                          8 inch display FTW!

IMHO, it needs a headphone jack more than it needs (any) cameras in the back.

They need to make 8 inch version of those gaming tablets...

Like seriously lol. Before you guys start arguing with me, 8 inch is the similar resolution as the handheld consoles, like Switch, Steam Deck, Ally, MSI Claw, etc. Put the removable joystick on the left and right of the tablet, and it will becomes a great gaming Android machine. Probably gonna beat x86 handheld consoles in terms of battery life.

Looking at the photos i guess it's going to be a 10+ inch version and a 12+ inch version. To compete with S Tab and S Tab plus. No 14+ inch version to compete with S Tab Ultra.
Dang it. I was hoping for 14+ inches.

Gaming tablets makes more sense than phones imo. Bigger screens, bigger battery, hopefully better cooling, and still portable

Did they feature a gimmick version of the cooling fan with no vents?! Really, doust my eyes deceive me?

Still looks to be a serious kit! With Tab S10 using Dimensity for needless greedy cost savings (when they could be re-engineering Samsung Messages vs giving up) this could replace a lot of tablets out there including the S10 for those looking to upgrade.

                                    Sizes should be interesting.
