Oppo (BBK), Xiaomi, Motorola, Vivo grew significantly thanks to demand boom in China.
Now that market is saturated. Google the new kid on the block. Motorola and Xiaomi fared better than Oppo and Vivo. The reason is management.
BBK (Oppo) did sell 2.9 million smartwatches in China and globally 0.
Xiaomi did sell 2.9 million smartwatches in China and 3 million globally.
Xiaomi has 15% market share in Q2 smarthphone market.
Oppo who knows because it's under others nowadays.
(Btw, the entity BBK doesn't exist anymore I suppose it relates to Oppo, realme & oneplus )

All Chinese mobile brands should only think about the third place in sales, because if they pass Apple and Samsung, the United States will immediately ban them with some ridiculous reasons, like Huawei.

Well folks, this is why you are paying ~$600 for a Dimensity 7300 plastic phone. You are the sponsors, Oppo is just the middleman.

Huawei and honor phones were fairly expensive, certainly profitable.

Come on man, idk if you're really this hateful of China or something but you have to be really naive to just hate on china for the same things that america does. All of em suck, i just prefer the one which gives me better products.

But let's elaborate on your whataboutism... Lobbying is indeed a threat to democracy. Especially during red presidencies over there. They tend to get regulated a lot harder during blue presidencies. Case in point, the increasing number of high profile antitrust cases going on at the moment.

That has zero to do with China's business model, outright breaking commerce laws everywhere.
