Have a S7 tablet for 3 years now and would like to upgrade but since s8 the base tablet is now Super Amoled which I am not a fan of. Would of buy the FE versions easily but it does only have 2 speakers instead of 4. Feel I will go Ipad yes. Samsung getting too ridiculous for the past few years with thier prices. Same as thier phones too

Got a Tab S9 myself for a good price like new (€400 from a Apple user that didn't like Android in the end)
Great tablet, but even at it's current price new here (670 euro) it sucks that after 4 years from now, the support will stop.
And sure, maybe we get custom roms and even if we don't, the device will work.
But a 450 euro laptop a family member of mine got in 2019 (with Ryzen chip) is at least still getting updates as long Windows 11 supports it (2030 for sure)
And if it gets Windows 12, or we count in Linux, then chances are the device will probably break before the OS support will even stop.

I still have a Tab S7+ and I don't know why I should upgrade. Samsung is literally selling the same device very year, only the chipset changes. And guess what? The Snapdragon 865+ is still kicking ass!
