The next Apple Watch SE might switch to plastic  for a lower price and brighter colorways

The original and 2nd gen Watch SE use aluminum bodies. There should be a chipset upgrade too.

I like how Apple and Samsung are like in a “fight” for users yet having no common ground in user experience, if you like ios than android is not most compatibile replacment and vice versa. Its not like i would get samsung phone cause their smartwatch is cheaper that the manufacturer im already using

        Why, Apple? I understand that the back can be plastic, but if the frame goes plastic, then it's not worth it. I feel pleased having a Galaxy Fit3 in my wrist, especially seeing it as structurally durable with the aluminum frame, but everyone has their own tastes.

                          I wouldn’t buy the 2nd Gen anyway because the back is already plastic. Hate how Apple tries to sell plastic as environmentally friendly because it supposedly uses less energy, but energy can be produced sustainably while plastic will end up in the environment and break down into macro- and microplastic as soon as it is not recycled once. And that is besides the fact that plastic can often only be downcycled into a lower-grade plastic so it is not recyclable infinitely like glass or aluminum. Our main goal, besides electrification and renewable energies, should be to work towards an end of plastic production especially oil-based.

                              Please don't use the Galaxy Watch FE as a comparison. We all agree that it really sucks. Use the normal Galaxy Watch which can be found at the same cost as the Apple Watch SE; In any case, the previous Galaxy Watch model will be found for the same price, usually. I don't get neither the GW FE nor the AW SE. Both are too expensive for the package
