Samsung Galaxy A56 is in the works with huge performance boost

19 September 2024
It could finally bring a much-needed improvement in the area where its predecessors have suffered the most.

really hope they will *always* stay with the SD CARD slot!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Such delu reporting.

It is very common to see lower-mid phones with same CPU & GPU performance as flagship from 4 years ago. A55 surpasses performance of S20 (both Snapdragon 865 / Exynos 990).

Snapdragon 888 was in S21 (2021), and we are 5 months away from S25 (2025). So when A56 arrives, it is 4 years from S21.

Rather expecting Samsung to cut corners yet again with their under-powered mid range chipset to be lower than Snapdragon's mid range & pass it down to low end models next year as usual.

That's 2.5mm. not repairability, the misssing headphone jack or SD card or a useful camera setup instead of useless Macro lenses or the same old tired 8MP ultrawide or swappable batteries...no! The screen is 0.1 inch too large! the mobile market is just full of Insane people...

Unless they dont going to put SD 8s gen 3 or better i dont care.

Have less ram? that would only make it worse in an already unoptimized os.
But having more ram is bad then?? what?
            Which one is it then??

Now just shrink the phone back to 6.4" or 6.5" and I will buy it day-1

Even if they improve, they will always be behind the current market.

I had to sell it and I got an honor phone with huge pwm numbers, now I'm fine even after using it for hours. Thats a problem samsung definitely needs to adress.

And the Redmi Note 13 Pro goes vs A35. The 13 Pro+ is the one against A55, so at least get your facts straight.

Anonymous, 9 hours agoonly a 300 point increase in multi core compared to A55 wit... moreA720 is awesome core, it's only thing in Android side which come close to Apple E cores, something which use less than 1 watt per core (in sd 8 gen 3), that's also a reason why nowadays flagship has better battery life Than midrange.

So while you see only 300 scores in Multicore in real life difference is going to be huge, because that multicore is achieved by using low power, especially when running heavy apps and games, having cpu which use less power also give more TDP headroom for gpu to shine.

Also redmi note 13 pro is of same family as A55, premium all arounder with less perfomance. Just choosing it to defend your point you agree with my point from the start.

In South Korea — Samsung's home market — the jump was even bigger at 22%. In the US, the Galaxy S24 sales grew by 14%. It's the same story in Western Europe — the UK, Germany, and France — where Samsung's newest flagships have seen a 28% growth in sales followed by strong preorders.

Samsung saw impressive growth in Galaxy S23 orders in 2023 as well. A report from late February 2023 following the Galaxy S23's launch claimed the preorder numbers were higher by 10% in Taiwan, more than doubled in India within the first 48 hours, and 8% higher in South Korea.
