JJJ, 23 Sep 202412 RAM is still low?For Android phones, 12GB is a ton of RAM that you'd have to try very hard to utilize to 100%. You would need to open a ton of games and apps in rapid succession to try and get them loaded into RAM faster than Android can background them. The problem is that 95% of phone and PC users don't understand how RAM works, and 99% don't understand how Android works. Unused RAM is just unused RAM. If your usage habits are such that your phone never exceeds 6GB of RAM usage, then 8GB is as fast as 100GB. The extra is just waste. Does extra future proof you? Sure, 8GB is better than 6GB and 12GB is better than 8GB in that regard, but just how long are you going to keep your phone? Bottom line is you're going to need to be a AAA gamer (think Call of Duty or Honkai Star Rail) that insists on running their games at max resolution, detail and FPS to even come close to 10GB of RAM usage. That's really the gist of it. Right now 12GB is more than enough for even the most demanding Android game or any combination of app multitasking. OnePlus is simply taking advantage of people's technical ignorance so they can gain a marketing advantage. This is why phones are so expensive.

That's why several headphone brands put Bluetooth audio codec and a 3.5mm audio jack together on some headphones. They know wireless doesn't last as long as wired.

As for USB OTG, you can easily lose it because of its small size. I've been there before, and it's not a pleasant experience.

Other brands should do the same, especially since Sony removed it on their 2018 and 2019 flagships before putting it back and keeping it since 2020.
