45w isn't really slow but not fast either. Should be 65w minimum.

Should've increased the camera specs too. 45W is perfectly fine if we're being honest. But 25W well ..

Snapdragon 695 hater, 22 Sep 2024The 45w charging is satisfactory. Could it be better? Absol... moreThe 45W charging is noticeably faster than the 25W charging, at least on my S23U. Of course it doesn't hold a candle to OnePlus or literally any other OEM that isn't Google and Apple but it's definitely still pretty fast. I wish Samsung would at least bump it up to 65W just to be a little more competitive.

This company is doomed now. They passed their prime way before. 45w and 65w were at least needed. Even though I'm using their 25w which is fast enough for me. But using the same tech for years like camera sensors, charging technology, and battery chemistry is just pathetic for a company like Samsung. Apple fans can justify their iPhones. But we can't.

I'm not surprised when it comes to disappointing the customer, Samsung is professional.

Dimtons, 22 Sep 2024Is there any real life experiment about battery degradation... moreYes. Laptop batteries.
You charge everyday, after 12 months you need new one.
Problem is heat generated fanboys of oppo / xiaomi deny.
They think it is nothing wrong phone to remain at 45 celsius ( 113 F).
Phones charged at 20W or less, do not even pass 30C (86F).

IMO, I think it's quite unfair for OEMs to make charging speeds different within their flagship lineup.
ALL flagships deserve equally fast charging speeds. For other specs sure, but at least for charging there should not be any tiers between the vanilla and Pro flagship models, especially considering the fact 25W is just hopelessly bad. Otherwise why buy a flagship?
There needs to be at least a good chunk of benefits from buying the base flagship versus buying the top midrange.

i am honestly fine with 45w charging for my usage pattern. They should keep 45w as minimum charging and 65w as optional.
The main issue is 25w minimum charging for S series which is same as every other Samsung device. My s24u charges 20% to 100% in exactly one hour with 25w which I think isn't that bad especially considering it's charging fast till 80%.
They should have kept 45w charging only for S and FE series. I hate the fact that 45w charger is too expensive (almost 70 dollar) in my country. Especially with ultra being this expensive this year, the least they could have done is decreased 45w charger price.

Samsung needs to shift the minimum with 45 W charger and move higher to 65 W charger ….they already have 65W charging brick

Along with features of their phones, samsung and apple not giving significant upgrades over years on their flagships...is also helping chinese companies sell well.

"Clearly then, the S25 and S25+ will focus on refinements and won't aim to revolutionize the market in any way"
How many times can they refine the same phone before someone realises the R&D team are Cheque stealers

you know Samsung is cooked when even Pixel 9 and iPhone 16 charge faster than S25 (27W and 39W respectively)

Samsung and Apple have both been stagnant for a while IMO. I have an iPhone and a Galaxy and can't help feel Huawei actually has been innovating more even with the US restrictions...and the allegations against Huawei are just that at the moment, allegations. I don't recall the land of innocent until proven guilty has actually provided solid proof, could be wrong but still think they are innovating more, just a shame that Google is banned on them.

The 45w charging is satisfactory. Could it be better? Absolutely. However it could worse.
My issue is with the 25w charging. I mean c'mon! I'm over here rocking a Moto G82 that I've had for the last 2 years and want to upgrade.
Why would I spend triple the amount of money on a phone that does only 25w charging!? Make it make sense!
This is totally unacceptable and this should not be defended under any circumstances.

Dimtons, 22 Sep 2024Is there any real life experiment about battery degradation... moreIt's debatable, some IT techs have claimed that fast charging does degrade the device, others say yes but no significant damage to the device, and some say no effect to the device with fast charging like 80w or 100w.

Still sticking to the Ultra Slow Charging technology, awesome. At least it's somewhat unique.

Is there any real life experiment about battery degradation when it comes to fast charging aka 80W and up ? Because for a flagship in 2025 to have that kind of charging should be criminal...

Samsung and their boner with 25W and 45W fast charging. Thank China for giving us alternatives to Apple and Samsung.
