Mediatek need large cooling sink heat with built in fan cooling to cool cpu down

If only MediaTek can give us better 4G Helio chipsets with large cores and better graphics than current budget P22/ P35 / G36 series. The G70 should be entry level.

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2024ARM X925 core is legitimately a beast shame that D9400 only... more......you do know why they dont use 8 redwood cove cores right?
my man its a phone soc silicon area is GREATLY limited. how exactly do you plan on fitting 4 of the biggest avaliable arm cores without sacrificing l3?

Where's that Windows ARM SoC you've been collaborating on with Nvidia? I'm still waiting for some news! I know it was slated for 2025, but come on, throw us a teaser or something! We've been hearing about this for a while STILL NO NEWS NO LEAKS

Dimensity 9400 goes to be a good alternative to Qualcomm 8 series. Draws less power to be expected, close to 8 gen 4 counterpart.

RedMagic User, 24 Sep 2024Well to be honest, if we compare this to the Dimensity 9300... moreVivo X100 pro using Dimensity 9300 has much better stability as per GSMA review https://www.gsmarena.com/vivo_x100_pro-review-2645p4.php.

I haven't got the foggiest re this

In 2023 the Dimensity 9300 was launched AFTER Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 11/06/2023

This is why I am confused 10/09/2023 launch is before the late October 2024 Qualcomm Summit

Presumably Mediatek will showcase Cortices not yet announced by Qualcomm, and can it

Is this date confirmed or is it just rumoured? The only date that is is Qualcomm.
Am I going to remain confused or try to confirm date.
                That would be a negative!

Well to be honest, if we compare this to the Dimensity 9300, the only cores that was changed are the 1 Prime core from X4 to X5 then the performance cores from A720 to A725. Then came the newer GPU, not much change and how can this be efficient if the DM9300 has a terrible 44% stability on Vivo X100.

Finally Apple cant use meme we dont need to be first if we will be the best.

TechJocky, 24 Sep 2024Living under the rock? A18pro has 6 cores onlyI think you're blind. I wasn't talking about the interior design but how it looked like from the teaser.

They still use MediaTek's Sports Mode ? :>

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2024So much power. If only we had games to play outside of few ... moreMediaTek chips work well in low level emulators like PPSSPP, Vita3k, and Dolphin. They could run much more powerful emulators if only their GPU source codes were open source and can be used by developers for further optimization, but that's just about it. I've checked it myself on a phone with a Dimensity 8050 SoC

                                TechJocky, 24 Sep 2024Living under the rock? A18pro has 6 cores onlyHe was comparing Apple and MediaTek using only 2 types of cores; large (A18 - P, 9400 - X925 and X4) and medium (A18 - E, 9400 - A7xx)

Mediatek kicking everyone ass, Qualcomm will not be able to charge 240 dollars for 8 gen 4 anymore, competition is a bliss, and Apple poor Apple, relegated to third place now once 2 or 3 generation ahead with A chiosets now falling behind everyone 🤣

you will not easily find a soc that its cpu is power efficient and gpu is powerful.

I hope they make it more efficient
Last gen 9300 was so powerful but at the same time was so hot
In benchmark tests you can see on YouTube it literally made phones (x100 series and x7) reach 58 to 60 degrees on their back panels....... Power is good and all but i hope they manage the heat and sustainability
A18 pro was a fat disappointment

I wish Winlator worked on mediatek
