Basically a74 will revive as a26 replacement.

IP54? Sweet. So that means A26 will get IP rating as well. Then now it's easy to recommend Samsung at these price points.

It could be that the A16 4G or 5G will have an LCD screen, even though the A15 4G and 5G have Super AMOLED screens, there is a precedent for this.
In 2018 all Samsung phones, even the cheapest ones like the J4 and J2 had Super AMOLED screens, and in 2019 suddenly the cheapest phones had LCD screens.

There is no way this phone is getting LCD, right? The A15 (5G) has a Super AMOLED screen, so where's the logic?

            Also that notch looks ugly.

Dimensity 6300 has ancient A76 and A55 cores. Unless you mean Android Go, there's no way this processor will be able to run future Android os up to Android 20.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2024No sane person is going to pay more than $150 for this.in some markets that could get you a old Galaxy S10 Plus which won't receive updates but is better than everything else in regard with this phone for the most part

Also, you‘re still saying it has LCD, even though it was obvious in your last article that you did a mistake and that the leak clearly stated AMOLED

Oh come on, this phone will be €/$150 shortly after launch, you can’t have everything at that price

Azu10157, 24 Sep 2024Even 1UIC is bloated. My 4GB A13 5G uses more RAM than a 4G... moreEven Xiaomi understood with the Redmi A2 and A3 that their skin is too much to handle, and those phones run Android GO.

Then again, Samsung uses full Android, but OneUI at it's current iteration is too much for anything under 8GB of RAM, just like Xiaomi their skin.

The update promise is nice and the lower end A15, and thus A16 will be usable phones, but when looking at Motorola, while their update promise is... ahem, poor, the nearly non existent UI changes make the Android experience just much better on devices with less RAM.
