Samsung Galaxy S24 FE announced with Exynos 2400e and a 6.7" display

The new chipset also brings the ProVisual camera engine from the flagship S-series. The new FE model will get 7 years of support.

We are discussing device with flagsh... moreNo, now we're discussing devices with 7 years of upgrade and how these 7 years of upgrade is unnecessary, plus that someone with a 8 series processor device wouldn't switch on a 6 series device even if it's been more than 5 years and that the fairest thing would be to go down at least to a Snapdragon 7 series.

        Also not just you, better updates means when you stop using your phone someone else can also use it. If after 3 or 4 years you need new shiny toy you can sell it to someone else who will benefit from those updates.

              SixSeis, 9 hours agoDex is a bit of a good, used it to test there in 2022 - 202... more7 years ago we had sd 845 and it's still faster than sd 695, G99 etc I have oneplus 6T and it perform better than any lowend of today. this year flagship soc will be more than fine 7 years from now.

A big bit does, no smartphone will get "healthy" all this time, it's been 3 years already almost an e-waste, the Samsung ecosystem is good, but Xiaomi and Huawei are not far behind, who buys Samsung is because they like the brand and bet on the consistency of OneUI, I will trade my Samsung in any other brand in the market. (I have a model of the S22 line)

                        SixSeis, 12 hours agoAnd the Xiaomi 14T is 12/256, has a 4000-nit display, fast ... moreThe only phone which come close to this FE is Oneplus 12, 14T, redmi note 14 pro etc those are midrange/upper midrange soc which lack many features.

                        Just having flagship soc give you so many Advantages from perfomance of cpu, Gpu, Faster modem, Better camera isp, faster wifi, better video transcoding etc.

                        Then add other Samsung flagship features like Samsung Dex, Galaxy AI, 7 years updates, Ecosystem etc.

                        So those midranges like redmi note 14+ are no where near this phone.

                            Eyaddy, 10 hours agoSamsung did really let us down with this phone like the pro... more8 gigs of RAM is better than my aging XR. I understand Android uses more RAM than iOS but it'll be enough.

                                    only a 1080p display
                                    only an 8 bit panel that lacks Dolby vision
                                    base variant is still just 128gb instead of 256gb
                                    just a measly 25w charging ,

                                        1.1x larger cooling chamber is just 10% lol. I'm just now realising how big the FE is compared to the base s24. I'll wait for the review.
