I don't like the Samsung Foldables simply because the cameras are outdated and not up to par with the Ultra line, also because they are just waaaay too expensive. This one is neat, although I don't know if the Software is any good.

Xiaomi releases an overpriced flip phone, calls it flagship, but cuts many specs that are expected for the class.
Curious... I don't see many complains overall, because it's a Xiaomi phone, but when other brands does better and cheaper flip phones with overall balanced specs, they get bashed for just existing.

Xiaomi is not a rival in market for Samsung. I'm not saying Xiaomi's phones are bad, I'm just saying they are not in competition for selling more premium phones with Samsung.

A security patch once in a couple of months. Small bugs in UI which will never be fixed. They just make a phone and then move on to the next project. Unlike samsung, apple or google, who keep updating and improving old devices.

Is anyone can explain me how they converted the CNY 6,499 /€829 to €1300?? More than 50% increase. Why? It`s horrible. No point to buy this at this price tag.

Mix Flip sold very well in China, better than Honors' and much better than Samsung's Flip 6.

Either Xiaomi is delussional that they think their brand has higher value than Samsung, or they know nobody would buy this. It's basically just a token product. High price, looks cool, just to show off what Xiaomi can do. But in reality they would probably only make a few of these with zero expectation that people would buy it, because they know only their cheap Redmi and Poco lines are selling.

price is definitely too high, especially when compared to the local price is about £800. Sure global versions might need to be higher but at this price point in a saturated western market, they need something to draw others in with an unfamiliar brand to most.

If Xiaomi wanted this device to had any chance to compete with Samsung's and Motorola's flip phones then should have set the price under 1000 USD/EUR for the global market.
