If you are really looking to upgrade your Note 2, why not wait for the Note 3 instead of getting what will be a "refurb", remodleed with a different processor. No thanks - my Note 2 is fine as it is. It is not slow, therefore see no need for this unecessary revamp!

Rumor has it, of course, that Samsung is waffling among different screen sizes for the Note 3, which means they're conflicted as to which size would be best. By releasing an updated Note 2 (for a discount, of course) alongside the Note 3, they could go with a bigger 5.9" or 6.0" display on the Note 3 without turning off anyone who might like a Note with decent specs but thinks 5.5" is big enough.

With Note III's imminent rel just barely a couple of months away (and remember it's rumored to come w/ either the latest Exynos 5420 OR Snapdragon 800!), how many ill informed luddites will fall for this?

If they upgraded the cpu, why not also the display with full hd lcd solux, and ir blaster too, so no need to wait for the gnote 3.

We all were quiet astonished how in the world they will do so but as we are seeing they announced different variants(which obviously will frustrate old S4 customers). Possibilities are seeing right now as it could make its assumption true.
Its Samsung anyways, no body does better spam than them.
