How does the Exynos 2400e compare to the full-fat Exynos 2400? What about the Apple A18 and Tensor G4?

Instead of comparing it with current flagships or last year's FE model, compare it with last's years flagship model instead.

                S24 FE vs S23 Plus.

                  oh wow that's impressive

Akinaro, 02 Oct 2024I love comments about exynos. People always say "UGHH ... moreExactly! Exynos haters love to reference benchmarks to call it a bad chip but how about now? Nearly identical performance in cpu and GPU as regular 2400 and Dimensity 9300+ for almost half the price. I've never liked the Snapdragon chipset snobs on this site and now they can cope and make new excuses still for how this chip and others like the Dimensity are bad. Qualcomm bias is strong on this site (the readers not writers).

I (and other commentators) dont care what average consumer woud want, I care and share abaout what I want.
So there no pont in your comment

Akinaro, 02 Oct 2024I love comments about exynos. People always say "UGHH ... moreI hate Exynos because it heats and gets warm under normal usage, much worse when you are using 5G which an average user also does.

I don't need someone to gaslight me into thinking they are good, I have S24 with Exynos, in benchmarks it might be good but seeing it get warm for daily basic tasks is annoying and more reflective of real world usage.

I love comments about exynos. People always say "UGHH its that bad chip..."
But why its bad? Probably more than 90% of people that use Android phones have NO IDEA what chip is in their phones, they dont care, if phone run fast, its good phone. And majority of Samsung users with exynos inside are perfectly fine, all typical apps work, battery is ok, games run fine...
But pseudo tech-guys sit like children in the corner with peace of paper with exynos stats and scream like toddlers that didnt get enough attention.
And its with almost every aspect of phones. UGHHH it have UFS 3.0 what a slow poke! ugh... it use (insert random camera sensor name) that its SO LAST YEAR!
And they dont realize that average user, dont care. it take good images? cool! as half of population add tons of filters to image and resize it to 720p when uploading, they dont care about name chip or sensor...

Gamerish, 02 Oct 2024The point is, Apple uses a very efficient 2x Prime cores, 6... moreI think you are confusing between Efficiency and power usage, something can use more power and be more efficient and other thing can use less power and be less efficient. Good example is Android A5xx cores, they are not efficient by any means. Meanwhile A720 even though use more power than A520 it's way better efficiency wise and close to Apple E cores, with Apple stagnation I won't be suprised in 2 generation Arm will catch up.

About Sd 8 gen 3 vs D9300 they are both equal power usage wise, if one device sustain more it's because of cooling more than soc, sd 8 gen 3 have better efficiency at low power while D9300 is more efficient at high power.

No, a5 cores are not useless. You are not an soc designer.

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2024Xiaomi 14T/Pro looks like a flop, Poco F6/Pro are almost as... moreWhat 14t has needed is cooling system of 14t pro, 7s gen 3 is not even close in gpu and has probably worse isp and video engine or at par at best and 14t has ufs 4.0 and lpddr5x. 14t pro will have similar sustained cpu performance to other 8 gen 3 and d9300 phones. F6 and F6 pro have worse panels besides worse cameras. D8400 will be better with a720 cores and newer node, a78 to a710 had efficiency regression and only a720 surpassed it.

Few said thats S24 FE is just another A55, now proven wrong.
