Actually MT8135 is a true quad core chip as it can use all four cores at the same time.

See here : http://laptopnews.ro/?p=49167

This is the new implementation of ARM's big.LITTLE MP heterogeneous computing.

Just like Sansung, Mediatek calls their dual core big.LITTLE chip "Quad Core". But I guess it's gonna be smoking fast, considering that Android can use 2 cores pretty well.

BTW this is the second big. LITTLE chip which can use all the cores. The first one was Exynos 5 Octa 5420.

Very good “marketing” video... but the comparison is not clear: are they comparing against other chipsets on the same category? Quad vs quad? On the resolution, the size matters! They need to compare against the same screen size.

Lol the mediatek device obviously has smaller screen resolution which leads to way better benchmark results. look it fits less content on its screen than the others do so it is very likely....

MTK chips usually do not support magnetic sensor and some other sensor,
that's why phones with MTK chips do not have e-compass.
            i hope they fix that.

AnonD-77318, 29 Jul 2013this is a 2 dual-core processor not a quad-core. lol lol so what, give the company some credit for its work. You are just another one of those people that get sucked in by marketing tactings. I bet if they get out a 12 core mobile chip( but 6 of those cores dont work) you would still by it because you are a slave to the numbers! i love how people are easily manipulated into thinking that they know so much about tech, yet they only read it in the brochure! hahahaha so lol for you too my friend.

micromax in india has been constantly manufacturing phones with their hearts and brains from midiatech....... n if micromax manages a phone with MT8135 then it could be the one last step that micromax needs to come in league with the giants of the arena......
