Akinaro, 07 Oct 2024Avoid buying any modern gaming laptop, lifespan of them are... moreClearly person talking without any clue. Do you even know what is good quality gaming laptop? Well if you buy some cheap crap, yes things will melt in year or two, bit of you buy solid gaming laptop for around price of this reviewed one, nothing will ever melt, they are huge very well built and have good cooling solution. I have HP Omen 17 from 2020. It's beastly 17 inch laptop. With plenty of cooling space and large pipes. Though you need to clean fans every 6 months to sustain top performance, otherwise it will throttle more because of dust blocking airwents, if you maintain it and clean dust every 6 months it will last for years.

It's 2.5kg beast where you going to bring it to the park? 🤣 Jesus, you people really so funny.

Ikaginf buying gaming laptop for 1700 with single channel memory and only 16gb of RAM, quite a failure this laptop.

Better specs than I mac Pro.

Imagine if it was twice as thick.! The heat would've stayed under 30 degrees on editing.! I never understood the more away from the phat great cooled systems, to the slim overheating systems.

really 1 hour and few minutes only with an old death stranding game .... let alone unreal engine 5 games. that's why is always better a console. if you are going to be sitting next to the outlet i prefer to be in front of a 55inches tv. sure pc is better but not the laptop stuff.

                        "a real beast"
                        " rtx 4060"

"From its sturdy aluminum unibody chassis to the RGB-lit logo and keyboard, this gaming machine is made for those who need maximum performance."

Dude.. it literally comes with a mobile RTX 4060. It's not a beast in ANY sense, it's the second lowest tier of mobile gaming GPU Nvidia produces.

Silly overpowered CPU for that chassis cooling solution. No reason to buy this configuration.

Avoid buying any modern gaming laptop, lifespan of them are like 2-3 years and after that power management chip or main processor get burned as they use those cheaply made components and multilayered PCB lack any QC, and as they use minimal amounts of non-led solder it all crack and pins just lose connections.
They could go around it if design was more spread out but they pack it all so dense that even cooper pipes all over it doesnt work as even if it cool main chips, rest get cooked as there is no air flow at all. Sometimes it so bad that main connector for screen can melt.
And worst part is that almost nothing is easy to replace... anyone remember that you could replace cpu in laptop to give it another few years of work? Not today, they solder everything and pack in a way that you need to remove everything to get in to it and replace thermal paste(as you should ever year or two)

I'm curious if they modded GTA 4 with some performance improving mods like FusionFix before taking that photo on the verdict

I wonder if there's second RAM slot to run in dual channel
It should have been dual channel from the begining

Regardless, the CPU and GPU draws way too much power. You need the dedicated charger to prevent battery drain.
