7a came out less than 1 year ago and had basically the same specs as most of the 8 and series so why even make? Google has gone insane lol.

They have to get it out on the market in time to compete with the sales of the upcoming iPhone SE4, which is rumored for a March, 2025 release. Expect lots of leaks in the coming months, earlier than usual.

I don't mind big phones if they are light weight. They should try to innovate by reducing the weight to 160g or less.

Dad is using pixel 8a. Pretty good unless you are a heavy gamer. If you used Samsung they will be too basic for you.

I am skeptical of this change. The pixel 8a is great but by Christmas it's been supplanted by more advanced devices. This will have the same problem. They need to move there launch lineup to release at least one phone near Christmas so it isn't overshadowed by other newer phones by that time.
