pl2rts, 05 Oct 2024Well you get enough performance with the 7s gen 3 that is a... moreYeah there are quite a few phones now in a similar price range with telephotos and even periscope (in the case of Realme). You have the Honor 200 with a similar main camera but better bigger 2.5x imx856 telephoto with OIS but it is about 200rmb (25 euro) or so more expensive. Also has a slightly better processor (Snapdragon 7 gen 3) and a better 12mp ultrawide for the extra 25 euro or so though so that's definitely a viable alternative and probably the biggest competitor at the moment. Also have the realme 13 pro+. That has a much better 1/1.95" 3x periscope but a weaker 7s gen 2 processor. It is also 100rmb cheaper than the Redmi note 14 pro+ though so the price is a slight advantage. Also there is the Motorola s50 with a similar main camera, 10mp 3X telephoto and 13mp ultrawide and similar level processor (Dimensity 7300) but it is around 250rmb more expensive (30 euro or so). Definitely a good option but there are always other similar options too.

Aierlan, 05 Oct 2024The Redmi k70 (Poco F6 pro globally) is now available for t... moreWell you get enough performance with the 7s gen 3 that is around the performance of SD870
7s gen 2 use to be just a rename of something like SD778/780/782 based on performance score in Antutu. 7s gen 3 is basically Google Pixel 7 performance.
And well you get the telephoto camera with it that is rare thing in that price range from a new phone.
Redmi Note series is more of a balanced specs phone series. Where you get decent performance and decent camera. It is competing with Samsung A55
Poco is for performance as it's main thing and then save up on camera so the price can be lower.
At the price point there probably isn't anything better in the market that is a new phone and not year or 2 old

After this announcement i realised it's best to buy the redmi 13 pro plus, maybe the battery last a bit longer but it the slower charger taking twice the time makes it like every other Samsung phone haha, nothing can beat the comfortable of charging fully in less than 25 minutes

If that thing is still flooded with ads, I'll forever pass Xiaomi. And I feel skeptical about that news. The specs are great and affordable but the ads are just crazy.

You sacrifice in terms of the main camera if you go for the Redmi note 14 pro+ especially in terms of video quality. Having said that the battery life of the note 14 pro+ is hard to ignore. I struggle to get 4 hours screen on time on the k60 pro after 16 months of ownership which is a bit frustrating. Can't wait to get rid of it this month or next as the battery life is very important in China where you use the phone for everything (wallet, transport, door key etc). Haven't used anything other than a phone to pay for stuff in the last two years so a battery dying quickly is a major headache

It's unfortunate for the poor souls who paid money to have commercials injected in the OS!

What a mistake to remove the x2.6 (x5 lossless) telephoto lens on the global model... They leave a huge space for Realme

The Redmi k70 (Poco F6 pro globally) is now available for the same price as the Redmi Note 14 pro+. Personally, I'd go for the k70 over the Note 14 pro+. It has the same main camera but the video quality is better with the Snapdragon 8 gen 2. The Note 14 pro+ I guess has the advantage of battery life, a telephoto lens and waterproof rating but the Poco F6 pro has a much better screen and much better performance. The note 14 pro+ though is also a good option at this price point.

very popular, the Note 13 Pro+ has almost 7 million hits on GSMArena and the Note 13 Pro almost 10 million. I don't know who will be trending this year from Redmi Note.
