(Considering the previous verbose comment will be allowed): Actually, there is no choice.

Having flagships with 5'' displays will be great for the market, allowing people to actually choose and tell the difference : How much you actually pay for that abomity ?

Do people wear shorts anymore ? Because I can't have my phone with it.

(and no, bigger pockets won't fix the probability to drop your phone or broke it, it's simple math: bigger is worst, actually, glass' physics)

But the main problem stands : Big is vulgar. It feeds the consumerism that is destroying the most brainwashed countries.

Where have all decent phones gone ?! 10 years ago there were still here. Although the CPUs aren't 28nm anymore, software is bloated as hell, you actually don't need 64bit for a 3W device etc. etc.

    Just extrapolate this one :
    https://blogsystem5.substack.com/p/x86-64-programming-models

So, technically, it's perfectly possible to have far better phones if we --2'' for displays and cut the entire bullsh*t. Nevermind, disable cookies and .js wherever you can.

GrapheneOS(badly just for Google's) allows you to completely disable all the apps, because apps aren't just software, are 'daemonized', acting more as services with the pretext of 'notifications'.

Anyway, I wasn't passioned at all of phones 10 years ago and I can't be passioned now with all the phablets(90% of the market). It's shameful but big is poor, it's well known in some circles.

Sorry if I offended bad taste.

"The slimmest smartphone in the world for more than six months now, the 4.75-mm snatched a crown that had been tossed between the Gionee Elife S5.1 and the Oppo R5, each of them holding it for a fleeting month or so."

I'm going to side with this quote and matching data from device specifications website

no, they peaked when they started copying the iphone's squared design.

And also when they thought it was a good idea to chuck half a dozen tiny cameras at the back and then follow up to reduce them in half and add huge bezels around the sensors

5G and 4G signal lack of band support,
so better review compare this telco frequency spec

We better not go back to the race to the slimmest phone. That was one the most annoying thing phone makers did between 2010-2015 (only to be succeeded by the race to the most cameras). Apple is also rumored to come with a new slim iphone 🙄

Come on man infinix instead of failing to beat the past why don't we get some 9000mah in 8.5mm or something

That's something we've never gotten before

People already uses cases so maybe rugged phones could become more mainstream at lighter and better dimensions

Yeah maybe bring some innovation to rugged phones

Phones really peaked 10 years ago, didn't they?

Oppo released the R5 in December of 2014. It, although being a slab phone, had a thickness of 4.9mm! Therefore, Infinix claiming 6.8mm of thickness being the world's slimmest design is verifiably false.
